MLS as winger incoming

Just said this elsewhere. He’s shown against City that’s he’s an effective inverted winger.

Edit: MLS that is. Not Sterling, he’s cooked.

Gonna be bang average as a winger. His qualities are more suited to LB and CM.

Bang average…? Sign me the fuck up.

Exceeding all expectations at this stage of the season.

as opposed to all the above average attacker we have left in the squad?

The solution to our striker problem

Sterling is done at this level. We have no option but to play him but it’s going to be frustrating. I have more faith in Leo than this guy.

Sterling hasn’t played at that level for years :grimacing:

Rah about to turn back the years, his final curtain call, and lead us to the title.

Razz to score the winner at Anfield. Inject it.

Is he even a Premier League level athlete any more? Genuinely he looks so sluggish and out of his depth it’s crazy. What a decline.

I’m so glad we’re paying next to nothing for this scrub

It’s the silly mistakes that come down to the very basics of football at every level that wind me up.

Dribbling the ball out of play.
Having a perfect view across the line but being caught offside.

It’s crazy how far he’s fallen. Joe Cole’s probably right, he’s clearly low on confidence and even a goal scored off his arse would help him no end.

The “key events” bar just stopping after 10 minutes sums it up really

I fear there’s gonna be a lot more of this in future matches with how depleted our front line is and how long it is til anyone comes back from injury, let alone achieves full fitness and form.

Pep shipped him out at exactly the right time

His drop-off reminds me a lot of Hazard’s. He used to abuse his explosiveness and agility to get by people at will.
Have no choice but to play him into form unfortunately. Hope he figures it out.

The level of hopium on display when we signed him

Only one reason why a club is practically begging to give away a player of his former stature and that’s because they’re washed beyond belief

Writing was on the wall after Pep discarded him, its been over for a good while

Let’s hope we’ve learned from this and stop taking rejects off Chelsea.

Embarrassing we’re in a situation of having to rely on him
