100%, clubs with more resources and talent than us will be very interested having seen what he’s done here.
If I said this lol…
Gutting to be out
PSG haven’t won this competition before but they keep pushing and have another chance to be 90 mins away from winning it
As painful as it is, we just gotta keep putting ourselves in this position and one year it could fall for us.
We had the players to make PSG wobble but our approach wasn’t direct enough across both legs. Should’ve used our subs better e.g. Given Ethan more minutes, he’s a very dangerous player, and more unpredictable for PSG to handle
Lessons again to be learnt for next year
I can’t see this happening if we get someone quality in. There are good managers out there. One’s with real experience building winning teams for decades.
I don’t understand why AFC is turned on by these guys…
Putting the Arteta hire aside, we never should’ve hired Emery in the first place. So much better managers out there at the time, we could have snapped up.
If we had 2 world class wingers and a striker instead of one world class winger one average winger and a midfielder up front I think we would have won tonight. That was an encouraging performance we did everything but take our chances yet again.
We go again in 2026
I hope none of them have comedy horns
This is a really important point. To a certain degree it’s a law of averages issue, once you get to enough semi finals and finals, eventually things will go your way.
This season we already demonstrated to some degree we had learned a few mistakes from the Bayern loss last season, just not enough yet. Hopefully we’ve learned something this season as well.
Fucccccccccxkong helll fuck the result Paris is lit!!!
PSG finished better and their GK made some worlds… i’d say they deserved it, but we were not purely outclassed either. And we were missing perhaps our best CB, our top two strikers, and one of our critical CM (for one game)… we absolutely need more teeth than just Saka - have to hope for Martinelli to progress and really improve. Have to hope Havertz and/or Jesus can be productive next year in serious way… and we have to hope Gyorkes (or whoever) ends up being a lightning bolt. And we need our brilliant Norweigian to find his top form again.
We can go again and stay within striking distance of trophies and that is all you can ask - its hard but every time you threaten 1st/2nd and semi-finals, you have a shot.
You’re absolutely right this isa great point.
Nobody suddenly wins the cl after being shit for so long.
Even the best most well resources teams had.to get to multiple semis and quarters before winning.
And that’s what arsenal have to do, consistently get to this stage.
Liverpool 2005 ???
To say injuries don’t matter to this game/series is kind of BS.
Yes, Merino probably is a “better” finisher than Kai, but he does not have Kai’s run and the same intensity of pressing.
A lot of our attacks were started from our press, and Merino is not that kind of player.
Also people very underrated Kai’s run into the box and the mismatch he created.
Saliba is a star but our defense leader is Gabriel.
Not say he could prevent the goals that PSG scored, but he could provide better stability than Kiwior.
No need to say, our corners and free kicks did miss a huge target.
Jesus is injury prone, but we definitely missed his trickery and chaos he could create.
Playing 15-20 minutes for us could still make a difference.
Benny White is another huge miss. He is absolutely not in form, and might be not even match fit. We missed his chemistry and teamwork with Saka and Ode. If he was fit, Timber could move to left.
Don’t get me wrong, I like Kiwior and MLS performance today.
Yeah maybe.
Or I guess Porto the year before.
But both those teams won the uefa cup recently then when that actually meant something also.
In the cold light of day?
Having a paper thin squad catches up with you. That’s the story this season.
If the club puts that right in the summer with some attacking signings, we go again. If it doesn’t, it’s time to start making a fuss about it, like we did before KSE showed any signs of ambition.
Had a look back at the highlights over the two games. It’s criminal how we only scored 1 goal.
Both games could’ve easily flipped and saw us do the double on them instead.
Key moments are both of Martinelli’s chances in the two legs.
We equalise right before HT at the Emirates, it changes the game.
We again equalise early in Paris with Martinelli’s chance and it changes the game.
Donnarumma was honestly unbelievable. I saw that save for Saka’s curler again. To only get your fingertips on it and generate enough power to stop it from going in, dude was on a completely different level in this tie.
His height plays a huge advantage here imo and makes him look more impressive than he is. Fricking 8 ft tall unit.
Put that same exact same saving ability in our keeper and that ball flies in the net, every time.
He’s like the mountain from game of thrones.
Rough morning.
Off to see this tower thingy they have in the middle of the city.
Feel free to accidentally burn it.
