Premier League fixtures 22/23

Apparently Man City did something similar when they were tweeting out all the Haaland stuff. They said something about him scoring v Bournemouth in week 1. That other leak has them playing Aston Villa :woman_shrugging:

If this is true, I absolutely hate it.

The gerbil has never let us down.

Why do you hate it?

Arsenal 4-3 Leicester on a Friday night was a riot. Particularly the part where Giroud scored the winner

I feel like you’d want to play Crystal Palace when it’s day time. Atmosphere feels more intimidating at night. Same for most stadiums but especially Palace and Liverpool imo

I have no idea if its true or not. But a rocking Selhurst on opening night seems like a very difficult atmosphere for the away team. More to the point, if they give it to us (after also making us play a similar match last year against Brentford) it feels like they’re doing it precisely because they think “Will Arsenal Wilt In Another Tough Nighttime Away Match?” is a story line that will drive engagement.

Now that’s obviously partly a problem of our own making. But a lot of sides struggle in these kinds of night away matches in front of rocking crowds. So why can’t the opening match be Chelsea at Newcastle or whatever?

Out the way? That’s an easy fixture

So, the list above is confirmed: Premier League 2022/23 fixtures released

Again an away game for Arsenal as first game of the season, Gary and Jamie will be happy about that.

Not happy with Palace away first. But then again the first few fixtures are always hard to predict.

April is brutal.

Annoying we’ll start with a loss, but the few fixtures following it don’t seem too bad.

Five games before the window closes. Really hate it, the window should be closed before the season starts.

Wasn’t the 4-3 v Leicester an opening day fixture? As well as the 4-3 v Liverpool

What is the probability of Arsenal getting the Friday night away two years in a row?? Rigged!

That’s the spirit champ.

Pretty favourable run of fixtures going into the NLD at home after the break. We should be winning at least 5 of the first 8 matches.

The televised games get hand-picked, so it’s not even the software generating this. Sky Sports saw what happened last season and are hoping for the same again. Followed by an hour of Carragher and Neville spouting the same old rhetoric of Arsenal being the same team again blah blah blah. It’s so obvious.
