Premier League 2023/24

Palmer usually takes the penalties, he had scored 8 of them before that game. Honestly, it just seems weird that any other player would feel entitled to take it unless Palmer let them.

I don’t care if its 7-0 and some other teammate pipes up when we get a penalty to fraud his way to a free goal.

The penalty taker takes every penalty we get unless he is not playing

Guarantee Saka or Odegaard would give the ball to Havertz or Jesus.

Arsenal just superior.

True. Ronaldo and Messi have done this before too right?

Edit:

GOAT behaviour.

I can also guarantee that Havertz or Jesus would not try taking the penalty from Ode or Saka without being offered it if either Ode or Saka were in with a shout of the golden boot.

Most likely Palmer never scores another 4 goals in a PL game again and maybe not this many goals for a PL campaign too, it’s more meaningful for him than it is for those two.

Also like has been mentioned previously he’s the designated taker and has a 100% record, the level of entitlement to try and forcibly take it from him adds to why they are where they are.

Long may it continue

The only games being played are Luton v Brentford and Sheffield United v Burnley.
Apart from being clubs in the relegation places, are there any PL fixtures less attractive than these?

dead teams playing today …

wish were in the FA Cup tie today tbh.

Toney must be fuming that he ain’t playing today.

Heard Toney is pushing for a move in the summer and is as good as gone. Won’t probably see him play for Brentford again this season.

Are you saying this injury that’s been keeping him out is a ruse?

Top of the league again…and we play again before City. We have to beat Chelsea on Tuesday to keep the pressure on City. Really hoping that Brighton can do us a favour on Thursday.

15 points left to play for, still in it.

It’s no longer in our hands, but all we can do is keep the pressure on.

When we are top of the league after playing more games than our two rivals. I feel its a false position. Nothing to be happy about yet

Better than playing more games and trailing?

Thats not a good comparison ron

Cheer up after a win.

Points on the board is all that matters. Let’s just rack them up and leave the competition to look up at us.

I agree that the other team having games in hand is a false position but people can be happy about today too. Better than if we lost. I mean, it is why we watch football after all.
