PL Title Race 23/24

Also, i’m only here for positive vibes. If we draw or lose the next game, I’ll see you all around February of next year.

They could potentially go to ET again this weekend though so it may be working out fine.
I actually wouldn’t be shocked if Chelsea beat them or at the very least force the game to be decided on pens again.

They don’t look as scary to me as they were in the run-in last season. That City would have beaten Madrid quite easily at the Etihad.

Feels like the wheels are coming off.

2 defeats in a row at the most pivotal moment of the season.

If we don’t win on the weekend then I just can’t see us getting out of this rut.

Wanted a response after the Villa defeat. Didn’t get it. Absolutely need something major against Wolves. Chance to go top again. If we fuck it up then our heads will be gone.

We are gassed unfortunately. Ran out of steam. Aside from Odegaard, everyone looked devoid of ideas.

It is what it is, next season we go again.

Mate, how can you say that? You don’t want to miss out on all the fun on OA during the Transfer Window.

This is so fucking true. We are just 2 points behind City, with 6 games to play and yet we feel it’s over. This story has no twists and turns. If you can’t stay ahead of City after March, the league is over. They might as well give them the trophy now.

Our chances are pretty slim atm and the pressure is on City… But as said, it’s up to us at least to keep that pressure for as long as possible and not to allow them to celebrate the title before the final day.

Next game is an absolute must win. 10-0, 20-0. 1-0. Don’t care.

Keep the pressure!

City out as well, so good.

We still got a chance there is every chance they drop points again.

Just got to do better on our side.

They went out last night which is easing the pain of us going out, but they were dominant over Real, just couldn’t score.

It’s just hard to see for me City dropping more points than us. A fourth consecutive title is highly likely

I only watched extra time but as dominant as they were, they posed almost no threat to Madrid, they were leggy, could barely get into Madrid’s penalty box and in general looked out of ideas.
Robot 1 and Robot 2 couldn’t even continue and told Pep to sub them off, despite their rotation recently.

They’ve got 4 dangerous away games left in the league and their home games are against teams who have surprised the big boys before.

Only 2 points are separating the top 3 teams. All teams have tough games left and all have shown signs of fatigue.

They had some huge chances.

Real Madrid went through but not necessarily on merit - besides taking the better penalties of course.

Cool, we merited beating Bayern at home too but somehow we gifted them two goals and drew.
They gave Madrid an early lead and made their job much, much tougher.

If anything, this should even boost the point about City not being as unstoppable as people think, even when they’re dominant.

That’s their 6th draw at home this season. That’s already twice as many as last season.
City do not look as fearsome as they were last year around this time.

And yet they’ll still win the league

Man City are likely to break the record for buying four consecutive titles but their biggest rivals to winning the title aren’t us, it’s FFP.

If they do their job properly, we might actually see a club win the title rather than buying it.

I agree with your general sentiment, but I cannot share your optimism.

As much as they look slightly weaker this season, they’re still unlikely to drop more points than us and that means they will win their 4th consecutive title.

In this particular case I’d be happy to be proven wrong at the end of the season..

Well we can’t drop any more, it’s as simple as that.

I can see city dropping a draw in and it could come down to GD if we do our part.

consider the response you wanted from, was playing away against Bayern.

Not just another team.

If it was a game against Brighton I definitely would say it was mandatory.

Unfortunately it was Bayern.

The farmer leagues getting all excited because the English teams went out in Europe.

Unlike in the farmers leagues there is an actual title race in England, the most intense for a while with 3 teams going at the limit.

Because they got beat by other teams from Europe who are not in these situations with less workload, they are all guffawing.

The bundesliga still sucks balls I can assure you of that, arrogant German fucks.

One could argue the Premier League is a farmer’s league too with City winning 4 titles in a row…

Bit like Bayern in Germany, with Borussia sometimes challenging. Or PSG in France with some random team sometimes challenging.

The Best League in the World out of the Champions League and Europa League… oopsie

That is true.

Clubs like city and the captured, corrupt regulatory bodies have allowed all leagues to become farmers leagues eventually.

But there is only 1 title race in Europe’s top 5 leagues.

The bundesliga, seria a, ligue 1, la liga all have got their championships basically decided.

Last three winners were Napoli, Milan and Inter

Sounds like a healthy competitive league to me. Before that yes it was the Juve league but not last 3 years
