Very dumb question but why not go full transplant? He can definitely afford a good one, although I understand there are maybe cheaper options in Turkey if he doesnât want to go gangbusters with the price. I would absolutely get one if I were in his position. Who gives a shit if people know you got it done?
Like you suggest, I do think some players are probably a bit insecure about people knowing theyâve had it done and maybe even the fact that it requires them to shave their head is another factor.
Personally, I wouldnât really care if people knew. With a transplant, itâs real hair rather than a wig.
I do think Iâm a bit more desensitised to the hair loss stuff because I used to be a barber.
I think a lot of dudes underestimate how many people actually lose their hair, even those who arenât fully bald, by age 30 there is usually some loss and by 40s and 50s you are literally a major outlier if you havent lost some by then. And plenty of dudes in their early 20s have decent amount of loss without even knowing it.
It also happens to women lol which is why all old ladies have those bob cuts rather than actual long hair, cos it just doesnt grow like that by that age.

Felt bad for a couple of guys I went to grad school with that were fully bald by the time they were 25. They shaved it all off of course but itâs wild to see such young guys lose all of their hair.
I didnât know you had to shave your head! I have such a weird shaped head that it might actually put me off of it.
Yeah man, it sucks because you can see how much it affects their confidence at such a young age.
On the flipside, one of my mates was losing his for a while and he just took the plunge and shaved it all off and its given him a whole new lease on life. Dude is so confident now, much more so than when he had hair.

Yeah you may remember Holding had his buzzed right down during a game last season, might have been against Liverpool in the cup although I cant remember for sure which game it was.
The reason you have to shave your head is because they literally graft hair from other parts of your head to the top. Pretty crazy process but it seemingly works if you go to a good doctor. Holdings hair looks amazing now lol
Hmm. Good to know. Iâd probably try pharmaceuticals first. Itâs way cheaper and I suppose Iâd have to wear a hat for a year or two while my hair grew back to the desired length. I guess they canât just fill in a bald spot.
I negotiated that I will live with Osborn esque bald patches since childhood, in exchange of no further balding.

Haha but you have long hair so it would take a while. For folks like me itâd only be a month before we are back to a suitable level of hair 
I think pharmaceuticals are the way to go to start with. For some people they do actually do the job to a decent degree. Propecia (or finasteride) has decent results but they are for people who are losing hair rather than having lost hair.
But obviously for some itâs too late so transplant is the way to go.
