Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Ya know what I’ve changed my mind. I agree with you all, fuck Auba. This mother fucker gave Arteta a career in managing, dragged the dirt pounder kicking and screaming to success, and fucked Arsenal over for years in the process. Fuck you Auba.

Or, Arteta got the best out of Auba. :eyes:
Not that hard and guess what, he wasn’t playing as a striker in those games. :grimacing:

Surely there can’t be people at the club who like an ex player more than our wonderful manager.

How did this snippet of information slip through the Arteta PR net.

Well tbh I imagine he has been somewhat unprofessional the whole time. Probably an initial period where he goes to a new club and tries his best before reverting to type.

I think the problem came with the contract and his motivation dipped. That meant the antics weren’t worth dealing with, when a player is in great form nobody will care (maybe pep) about being 30 mins late to training.

Feels the most logical to me but of course pretty speculative.

I think you’re right but again I’d revert to the fact that neither Ozil nor Auba were performing at the time they were pushed out.

You can argue it’s the managers job to work through it and get them performing again but we also don’t know they haven’t tried, at least with Auba (he rarely even got subbed). Ozil felt more frozen out because of his political views but his performances weren’t great either.

Either way the crux of the problem is the mega contracts for aging players.

We were too desperate to keep our ‘star man’ on both occasions and it backfired…twice.

Hmmm. Just wish it was Cedric playing up and not our best striker

Cedric is cashing those checks until 2024. He’s going to be a good little boy.

Such a boring saga. Old past if forward couldnt turn up for meetings on time and got told to find a new employer. Couldnt care less about the amount of sitters he will miss at his new club. Very excited to see who we bring in during the summer window to be our new attacking vocal point. COYG.

I love Auba but how the fuck is this even a question lmao

The only people who would debate this are kids who weren’t around for both, which makes sense why it comes from Twitter

RVP is by far the better player but Auba will always have the FA Cup win over him. It’s weird how both Cesc and Robin have no trophies at their peak at Arsenal. If they stuck at Arsenal that wouldn’t be the case I think, but I’m not sure they would go beyond that.

The 2005 FA cup :slightly_smiling_face:

Albeit I always forget they were around then

Yeah, I know that’s why I’m saying at their peak.
Giroud is actually more successful than Robin, madness.

Wait, What? How?

Now that I’ve opened that topic.

Do people think we would have won the PL or UCL if we stuck with Nasri, Cesc, RVP, etc?
