Piero Hincapie (5)

That 90 yard run only to buckle at the end was a sight to behold lol.

Thought he was excellent last night. Him falling over in the box was hilarious!

We love a left back who can’t stay fit

He’s played 10 games in a row I thought the commentator said and he has just experienced the mental British Christmas period for the first time tbf :joy:

I saw some Ecuadorian media source on Twitter claiming he felt something in his hamstring. Did Arteta say anything?

Not in his presser. Both him and and Slot kept it very short.

Hopefully the injury is nothing serious

And I guess majority of those 10 games were with us after his injury early this season.

Any updates on this gentleman?

ā€œWeeksā€ according to Arteta’s press conference today.

Getting thin along the back line.

I’m thinking we run with Timber at LB in the PL and play White at RB. MLS gives me the shits but happy for him to play in the cup games.

Also how fucking annoying is it that Hincapie has only missed 10 games in his whole career thus far and now missed more than that since he’s arrived lol

Beyond annoying. Given the defensive platform that Arteta uses, I’m concerned with Mosq, Piero, Cala and now Saliba are out. It’s frustrating and the kind of shit that can derail a season so full of promise in a hurry. Worried.

Same thing as Partey never missed a game at Atletico then we had 3 seasons of consistent injuries.

Nothing special today. So far he’s had good games and somr average ones

He’s definitely the worst/the most limited full back we had going forward in the recent years. By far actually.

Struggles to even get a decent cross in on many basic situations. More likely a CB in the long run, although I rate both Mosquera and Calafiori higher.

His clearances were awful and really added unnecessary pressure.

do we have a option to chuck him back……dont waste money getting him on a permanent.

I’m not that sold on him. He was originally a CB and moved to LB rather than being a natural LB. But he isn’t really that great offensively overall apart from a bit of athleticism and being decent on the ball.

I don’t think he has been that impressive at CB either tbh. Did reasonably well under the circumstances but he isn’t very dominant aerially.

Another player who gets a year of grace. Calafiori was two different players from year one to year two in the Premier Lesgue. He’s left footed, solid and nasty. Confident that he’ll be a good left back for us.
