It’s a comical take lol. How anyone could say Maguire is a better fit than Varane after all those years of shitting the bed 
I don’t even know why I dignified it with a response. Every United fan I know thinks Varane was fantastic for them last season and only his fitness is an issue. But because he can’t spray the ball 60 yards he’s not good enough for “progressive football”.
World Cup winner. Multiple time CL winner. Not good enough and Maguire better fit.
This is coming from the same guy who once argued with me Varane was better than Ramos and that Ramos is a donkey lol. Now he’s saying Varane isn’t a good fit for United and Maguire who shits the bed on a weekly basis is better. Dawdling on the ball and getting caught out of position for fun. Maguire is awful.

You’re making it as if I’m calling Varane shit when he’s probably my favourite CB ever.
Varane was excellent last season, Man Utd’s best defender imo, because they played counter attacking football. They played to his strengths. Same as Casemiro. They absolutely excelled at that just like they did with Madrid who deployed similar tactics and are essentially the masters at it.
Man Utd have taken a different approach in recent games and are now using a high line. Varane and Casemiro won’t shit the bed but ultimately they’re not best equipped to play this way.
Different players excel in different systems.
