Oleksandr Zinchenko (17)

Zinny would’ve been very useful against Porto.

when you have Ode, Rice and Jorgi, next time for Zinny

I’m not desperate to sell him, but I prefer Timber, Tomi and Kiwior at left back.

We should entertain offers which are more than what we aid for him.

Bayern would be a great move.

Yeah the others are better at 1 v 1 defending, but Zinny gives us different strengths which makes it a nice array of options to have.

Unless we sell a defender we won’t have to do any work wasting time on defence in the transfer market, so I’m personally against selling.

I can see him being sold.

hope we can have a cinderella story this season and win the title, so there is no hard feeling on sellling him and/or Jesus, Eddie, Nelson, and/or ESR.

The last 3 can go, I have zero interest in selling Jesus and Zinchenko.

We are trying to build a squad of 20 + capable players at the highest level, selling those 2 just gives us more work to do in the transfer market.

we probably need more money than just selling the last 3 to get better players.

Basically exactly my thoughts.

We just don’t need his presence in midfield anymore. Both Havertz and Rice have adapted to their roles much better recently (yes, even Rice improved), fluidity and penetration through the midfield isn’t a problem anymore. On the contrary, it looks better than ever (under Arteta). Plus, Jorginho became a much prominent figure in the lineup (in a way, indirectly, he pushed Zinny out of the XI not Kiwi  ).

While you can’t even compare Kiwior’s defensive qualities to Zinny’s.

He can only have a future in the team if he transforms into some utility player for all the midfield positions + the LB. He has the tools to do it I think. He would probably be a more reliable and useful midfield alterative than Vieira or ESR (considering their AvAiLabilItY).

If Arteta doesn’t picture him in that direction… He’s going the Tierney/Ramsdale route, there’s no doubt about it.

Jesus should be sold unless it is ridiculous offer (90m plus). He’s a high quality player, who can pllay across the forward line. He’s somewhere in our strongest team. Not sure if this is the case for Zinny.

I am thinking… one more real injury on his knee, how much value is left for him?

It’s unfair to do this, but Jesus available for 15 games is more useful than Nketiah for 45. Meaning, we drop Jesus to a squad man and play him mainly wide.

I think we do have a few untouchables on our team.

Ode, Rice, Saka, Saliba and Gabriel.
We are not talking about crazy crazy money here, but we won’t sell them just because of money.

Apart of them, we will sell anyone, if the price is right.

Before we start selling our best players, we have more more than a couple assets in the team that we can move on.

I’d sell him just for having that gender reveal party

Yup, we should be looking to move Eddie, ESR primarily if we want to get a bit of cash. Not sure Nelson generates much interest but I actually think he could be decent for one of the lower half PL teams.

Obviously everyone has their price but if there’s no financial requirement to sell then our focus should be inproving our stocks and building on what we have currently.

We are still short by maybe 2-3 quality first team players imo.

I dunno, I can see the club net spending 100 mill like usual, so if we raise say 50-70 in sales that may be enough.

People getting giddy cos we beat burnley, Palace, sheff Utd and West Ham by big margins. Suddenly Zinky is useless and not needed but Kiwior is the goat Lb

Calm down zina and timber will bench Jakob as soon as they are fit.

Needs to be 50m+ to move zinchenko on.

It’s easy to get carried away with our recent form and think we don’t need Zinchenko. Yes, he can be a liability against the bigger teams but against mid to lower table teams, he can be a real asset as his flaws as a defender aren’t exposed as much.

Going forward, players like Zinny and Jorginho, while not first team regulars, will still play enough games in the season cause they both can do a job in certain situations. Every big team needs players like these.

Having said that, Zinny is a much younger to Jorginho and so might not accept a bit part role in this team (kinda like what he did at City).

He was the key to most of our wins last season - especially first half of the season. Since then, he made far too many school boy errors.

Ever since he gave that interview with Piers Morgan his career fell off. The guy is a joke because clearly he hasn’t my learnt anything and still yapping away:
