Oleksandr Zinchenko (17)

I think he will alternate with Timber. Zinny is still a quality player for us. Not sure why so many on here are so negative about him.

Meh

If Timber is anywhere near the player he was in pre-season and Kiwior keeps developing, this wouldn’t be as big a loss as it would have been last season.

I think whilst Zinchenko adds to our attack, we are more solid defensively without him and we have shown in the last two months our attack can function just as well without him. I would be happy for Zinchenko to stay but I dont think it is the end of the world should he leave

I think that if/when he does come into the fold, he’ll be chomping at the bit to do well and put in solid performances (a la Ramsdale).

It’s a good selection headache to have.

Sounds like bullshit

Zinchenko will have 2 years left on his contract come Summer. If Arsenal/Arteta doesn’t wish to play him as a centre-mid, I can see him being shopped.

If Arteta wants to strengthen the first team and needs to balance the books because of FFP, this might happen so if it does, we should get around 40m for a decent quality experienced PL player like Zinchenko, especially if Newcastle are interested.

It looks like we’re after a top quality striker as well as a Partey replacement and selling high earners that aren’t regular starters means we can invest in better quality players.

Wouldn’t sell, love the 7 defenders we currently have with the flexibility and versatility they all offer.

I don’t hate keeping him, i dont hate selling him (as long as its at market value).

This time last year he was crucial to our best play. The team certainly hasn’t outgrown him but as a whole the squad can deal a lot better with his absence.

I just love the mix of those 7 as a defensive unit.

He’s a great player to have in the squad but he’s had a few injuries so if Arteta wants to upgrade on better and more reliable players in other positions then he might look at selling squad players if he gets a decent price.

A lot of clubs will be in the same position where balancing the books will be a priority and also might see the ridiculous fees for average players come down.

Out of the 7 he is probably the worst defender and I’d imagine one of the highest wages

Best attacker though.

Ridiculous bid from Newcastle and you’d have to contemplate it but I love Zina and think he still has a place here.

Eh. He’s got two years left on his deal right? Time to sell him or renew him.

I love Zinny but if we could get good money I think it makes sense to sell and replace him.

It feels like the team is evolving in a way where we don’t need this kind of specialist inverted FB as much in order to dominate the ball.

I wonder what is happening with the Hato kid from Ajax. He was supposedly about to sign a new contract but the reporting didn’t make it sound like that would necessarily preclude a summer transfer.

Great going forward, but like Trent he can’t defend for his life.

Was immense & instrumental in our campaign last season - but has struggled a lot this year.

It’s time to move him on, me thinks. Whether the reports are true or not, we’ve spent a lot of money recently and given where we’re likely to be investing resources in the summer — I can see a bit of a clearout on the way to stay within FFP.

if 45m offer coming in, I’d say we should sell.

Kiwior is solid enough to be a traditional LB, then we have Timber and Tomi coming up.

adding some more money we can get a true midfielder in Zubi, no need to put Zinny on LCM.

Agreed. Tbh, anything close to or more to what we paid him for would be great business. Curious as to what his true valuation is in this market.

We’ve not lost our ability to control and dominate in Zinchenko’s absence.

Jorginho, Rice and Ƙdegaard with the current back four have worked fantastically well together.

I would want to keep Zinchenko and perhaps see him play in actual midfield for us where his very average 1v1 defending won’t be so exposed. He’s got so much quality on the ball. He could do a very good job where Jorginho is playing albeit Zinny is more of a risk taker.

I have a lot of fondness for Zinchenko. Prefer if we kept him, definitely. It was his mentality (along with Jesus) that really elevated us last season.

But if a very good offer comes in then we should consider it. We’ve got Timber, Kiwior and Tomiyasu for LB. We’re quite stacked there.
