Nottingham Forest

Definitely clowned him and Forrest for paying the money. Maybe I spoke too soon.

Why the fuck did Wolves sell him lol

Yeah it’s a weird one. I don’t even think they started him much, did they?

Be funny if he plays a blinder against them in the home game lol

You can only assume Uncle Jorge had the final say. He basically runs their transfer policy.

He was on loan at Sheffield United last season wasn’t he. Forest must have seen a player in him and thought Wolves might sell him as he’s not Portuguese

He knocked them out of the Carabao this season. LOL! Let’s just say his celebrations weren’t well received by the Wolves fans but they were giving him shit all game.

He was indeed at Sheff. Apparently amidst all of this summers transfer frenzy, Gibbs White was the player that Cooper asked the board to buy and he really pushed for the transfer. The likes of Lingaard, Taiwo and Aurier were not Cooper signings and were forced on him by the regime.

Gibbs White played for Cooper for the England Youth teams.

Football fans are really the worst.

I’ll bet the Venn diagram of football fans who complain about “snowflake” players and rainbow laces and the ones who think ex-players shouldn’t celebrate out of respect is a perfect circle.

There is a scale though.

Celebrating a goal against your former team.
Celebrating in front of the fans of your former team.
Kissing the badge.
Doing an Adebayor

I’m okay with the first scenario. Number two for me is fair game if the opposition fans are giving a player stick. Three and four? No Sir

iirc the away fans were singing some pretty awful and racist songs about him that day, he could have dropped his pants and shown his entire ass to the away fans and it would have been justified

I think not celebrating a goal is fucking stupid tbh.
It’s what you play for and strive to do. Don’t know how this ever became a thing.

I just think the “respect” part of it is a load of nonsense. You scored buddy to their detriment, a bit late now eh :man_facepalming:

Also a bit old fashioned but if you loved a club that much you wouldn’t up sticks and bounce.

The only time I’d condone a non-celebration is if you score in a match after there’s been a horrendous no-fault injury. Like after Eriksen collapsed.

No we weren’t.

In fact, I could hear ManUre fans, the absolute cunts, sing the song you’re talking about when we went there and lost in the cup 0-4.

The game at the Etihad was the Adebayor song involving Arshavin. Nothing awful or remotely racist about that song.

I’m only going off what I read at the time. I obviously wasn’t there.

Keylor Navas has been outstanding so far for them, made some great saves

He was for a long time the best player in all of CONCACAF. The disrespect he got from Madrid and PSG was wild. He’s an excellent keeper and the idea Forrest were able to just casually snag a top level keeper is a great advert for the league.

Fair play to them today and in general the past month. They really fought for it.

Despite the million transfers they made, the best decision was sticking with their manager. Cooper is a good coach but the tough times were inevitable. They saw them through and are finishing the season strong when it mattered.

It should come as no surprise that the bottom 3 have all sacked their managers. Two of them did it twice in the season.

If they clean up the squad a bit I can see Forest being a decent side next season with the squad gelling together more.
Their ground will certainly not be an easy one to visit next season.

Cooper done well and the owner held his nerve. I don’t think he starts next season though.
I think it’s over now but he can be proud of his effort.
