I don’t see a reason for him to be sacked now.
Graham Potter’s available…
Deserve credit for sticking by the coach given the amount of sackings that aren’t even working for some of these clubs.
Youuuuuuu Reds!
Still worried that Marinakis will try to bring a bigger name manager in.
He’s spent money, now he needs to be an owner and back the manager whilst being a bit more in the background.
They have no reason on earth to sack him after he kept them up. He’ll be given til Christmas at least
Perhaps he has someone in his mind for the “next” step if it comes but I think he’s safe for now and will continue to be as long as they keep performing like they have been recently.
If it weren’t for Cooper having the full support of the Forest fanbase, Marinakis would happily sack him tonight!
I’d hope the stick with Cooper for at least the next 3-5 years. He’s worked a mini - miracle.
Not to knock Cooper but Potter would be a very smart appointment for both sides.
Potter? Loooooool! The fans would riot.
Staying up was the remit this season and that has been achieved.
Next year may be a struggle because there are a lot of loan players along with players that allegedly Cooper had no say in.
Will need 6 or 7 signings. Would be great if Navas and Lodi could be convinced to stay.
Christmas is a huge chunk of the season. He can’t do any better.
The owner has an eye on his asset. I reckon he will replace him pre season.
He’s wanted to replace him for 8 months or so. He won’t give a shit what anyone thinks and it’ll happen
Impossible.
It’s hard to explain the connection that Cooper has with the fans. The owner wouldn’t dare sack him now.
It’s who he gets replaced with is what counts. If you do Rodgers - Dean Smith. You’re going to waste everyones time and piss off many.
But, he did give a shit! He knew the outrage sacking would have caused.
You are right though, Marinakis wanted to get a new guy in a couple of months back.
It’s an interesting point you make @Stroller
Evangelos had an interview after the game (and although we know chairmen tend to speak from both sides of their mouth), he seemed chuffed for keeping Cooper on and had a vision for the transfer incomings this summer (i.e. only a few)
You’re obviously closer to it than I am but the sense I get is that simply the right candidate didn’t present for him. Will only be a matter of time.
It will have to get very bad at the City Ground for a decision to sack Cooper to be backed by the fans.
If Forest are struggling again at Christmas though, it could happen.
Cooper has shown he can get an average team promoted and keep an average team up. That’s good pedigree.

Marinakis to jail, here we go!
