Wasnât due to start but want mentally ready to come on and do a job. Looked like he played well from the highlights. The early sub must have also been with Chelsea on Tuesday in mind.
Really pleased for him to contribute towards the two goals. Stepped up and delivered. Hopefully that does well for his confidence and he can continue to provide consistent output.

Thought a shot that is heading towards goal counts as a goal for the attacker, not an own goal if it is deflected or influenced by the opposition?
Either way, good cameo from Noni yesterday. He is so good in the 1v1. If adds the pass/assist/goal after that to his game he will be golden.

Scored his first EPL goal for Arsenal - from a set-piece in true fashion.
Now on 2 G/As 
yeah I always thought the rule was if it looks like the ball was going in anyway they give it. maybe thatâs what they see here on replays or something?
That performance should give him a lot of confidence and he seems like a player who needs that to be at his best.

He only really lacked end product but was never anywhere near as bad as many were making him to be just a few days ago.

I feel like we never set him up to do his best work. Last night we just passed to him when there is at least one defender pinned to him right on the sideline and then expect him to dribble all the way in and create something.
We need to work the opposition players more centrally and then play out to him.

Has started 6 games in a row now. This is why we bought him, to cover the Saka hole.

It was great to see him score today. Great pass and movement from Noni and a good finish. Really needs to work on his crossing and end product, but there is a player there.
Looked completely disinterested and tried to hide for about 20 mins.
Not sure if Arteta told him something or some Mansfield player pissed him off but itâs like a switch went off at one point and he immediately got engaged, but he was totally unplayable after that.
They genuinely couldnât get the ball off of him unless he released it himself.
