Shame we didnt get semenyo over him last summer.

Zero end product as usual. Nothing will ever change.

Ā£52m down the drain

I think he’s been decent since joining but not today. I just don’t understand why we needed him if we didn’t consider a need for a RW when a younger and better option was available the year before.

Or after watching Nwaneri perform well deputising for Saka last season having made the decision not to go for Olise in 24/25.

Then you’ve got kvara in Jan on a steal or semenyo for similar money in the summer. Cherki at around 30m.

But nah let’s absolutely thrust 50m+ at Chelsea for someone they wanted to shift. Deja vu.

I was actually all in when we signed him. Expecting him to break out with end product, as was the expectation and reasons for the club to buy him.

Suffice to say…

…dog shot footballeur.

He’s a good option. Perfect for mixing it up against low blocks. No goals in over twenty league games is unacceptable though.

Nonentity Madueke.

I still want to look at him positively but, damn… Saw some stat last night, not sure if true, how he has ZERO goals and ZERO assists in the league for almost the whole past year.

:skull: You can’t defend that brev. You’re a forward ffs. I know it’s not all about the numbers but that looks BAD. He really needs to work on his end product.

It’s really a shame considering how dangerous he is one on one, and he’s a fast guy who could get into many dangerous positions if he impoves his movement too. Not such a bad striker of the ball either, I’ve seen worse players with better numbers… Just needs to become sharper in front of the goal.

Edit: Not sure you can trust a profile with that name lol

I like his dribbling and how direct he is, he’s brought something quite refreshing to our squad, but he really needs to start putting up some fucking numbers (domestically)

Uninspiring signing from the off

Feel massively in the minority here, but Madueke might be our most dangerous attacking player. His intent is so clear - to run at the full back.

I will not defend the indefensible - no goals. However, he might be our only attacker who has the mindset to drive forward to run at the opposition. He started well against Forest before getting dragged off. Massive goal at Bayern but hadn’t had a run of games since.

For me, he’s the better of the attacking players we bought this season. He actually reminds me of pre-Arsenal era Thierry Henry, maybe Monaco/early Juve. Thats why I was joking that Arteta should convert him to centre forward. The stats aren’t there. I remember, when he was signed, it was mentioned the he might be on the verge of breaking out. Maybe end product comes next season, but then again, probably not.

so far he’s like Gervinho but one good thing is that he’s still only 23

Which usually is the hardest thing to do for a forward/winger… Obviously we have examples like CR7 and Sterling who got there in effectivity, but those are exemptions rather than the rule.

Haven’t you heard, he’s washed.

Fair. Saka is pretty direct.

Madueke been a million times better than mr ā€˜is he eber gonna turn up?’

But I don’t think adds anything on what bad boy Ethan produced last year.

Has he though? Neither been great but Eze has numerous assists and goals to his name (not to mention an NLD hatty), and featured centrally during that decent run we had while vegangaard was out injured

English Gervinho

Never seen a professional footballer be this bad at hitting the target

Just a pointless player really. Best 1v1 at the club without a doubt. But absolutely shit at everything else that comes after that.
