Depends where the player is and if he is still on holiday…BBC were saying it would be completed within 48 hours. Deal may just be ‘subject to medical’

@InvincibleDB10 Torreira, Guendouzi, Saliba and now Pepe (if this gets done) all under-25. Leno will probably be the goalkeeper for the next five seasons or so. I hope you see now that the strategy is actually building a team for the long term.

TBH the only thing more crazy than us being in for Pepe was that fucking Napoli of all people were meant to be front-runners.
I know people don’t rate the Serie A but they have been a top 5 club there for eight or nine years running now, half of those times finishing 2nd. I don’t think that would be a bad next step for him tbh.

They’re a good enough club just don’t really have any business being in for perhaps one of the most highly sought after young wide players in the world. But then again I didn’t really feel that we did either with our recent performances on the global stage.
There’s definitely a little calmness going on here that’s allowed us and Napoli to venture in and make a bid, the absolute biggest clubs seem content to let him use a stepping stone and the other clubs around our level are pretty content in their wide positions.
No complaints from me though sometimes you have to be in it to win it and old Arsenal would have certainly watched him go to Atletico or Napoli or someone/anyone else.
