Serious club would get him in January.

As it is we are happy being better than Tottenham’s

Wow that was brilliant.

Get him here!

Nice but need to see more bread and butter goals from him

Mans got 2 league goals this season, dog shit production in that respect

There’s a reason why he’s still at Atletico Madrid despite having a low release clause.

He has no interest in leaving right now.

hmm… nice goal… but they literally just let him waltz through them?

That goal in a nutshell what we’d need from him if he was to be our starter left winger.

I think this summer that might change.

He’s still quite young, probably didn’t just want to jumpt to any offer he got, and I’m sure he had good offers fo join a bigger club (including us).

But I think he has reached his ceiling at Bilbao… He could play the CL next season with them, that could be somewhat tempting, but I have a feeling he has spent enough time there and could be open for a move now.

Yeah, I just checked who are they actually playing against… Valladolid, by far the worst team in La Liga this season, 7 points behind 19th placed Deportivo. Doesn’t look so impressive with the added context now really.

Heard that goal doubled his tally for the season.

Did you think we should have kidnapped Williams? All the reports suggest Williams is high on the list of transfer targets. How do you know that we didn’t approach the club in January and his agent to ask if a deal could be done? Very few players like to move mid-season. This looks like a summer deal, if one can be struck.

If a player doesn’t want to move, or the club doesn’t want to sell (albeit accept there is a reported release clause), there isn’t much Arsenal can do.

Look how many players moved in the January and tell me the club couldn’t have done more to help our cause

They absolutely could have. But this guy was never available imo.

This again! The club have clearly decided that they favour focusing on their long term targets to improve the club over a short term purchase which may not have made any difference this season and may have affected what we could do in the summer window.

IMO the only way we can judge the success of this decision is to wait until the summer window and look to see what players we buy.

If we had bought someone in January, it wouldn’t have helped yesterday. The whole team was at fault for the result and performance.

This clubs prattles this narrative every year though, still never materialises into anything though. We’ve been singing this same song for 20 years.

So you’re ok with the club ignoring all of the available loan players who moved clubs in January? You think that was a smart idea?

I’m impatient for success as well. We all are. But look at the quality of the squad that Arteta started with, versus the squad we have now. We have a genuine title challenging squad. That has been achieved through the considerable investment that KSE have put in. If we don’t address our attack in the summer, I will be as critical of KSE as you.

Who exactly was available on loan in January?

Kolo Muani
Asensio
Rashford
Morata
Tel
Ferguson
Joao Felix

Tbf we physically couldn’t sign 3 of them on loan. Absolutely agree about the rest though, we should have pushed more but we didn’t. Very poor from the club

We already had the maximum of two loan players, so we couldn’t have gone for Rashford, Ferguson or Felix.

Muani has serious injury concerns. Tel is just a raw talent. Morata’s loan deal was 12 months, not until the end of the season. Asensio is the only one that I agree with you on, but I don’t know the circumstances of his deal with Villa or whether his previous relationship with Emery was what convinced him to move.

You just making shit up now? What serious injury concerns?
