Next manager

Don’t even say that that’s like expecting a date with Kylie Jenner and Caitlyn turning up instead

More like Asda own brand, but I take his point.

Now would be a good time to get Pochettino in

Nah a manager who picked up less points than Emery over FIFTY games isn’t the answer.
People constantly moan about spuds bias by the media and today clearly showing they’ve bought it.
Agree he’s a touch up on Freddie though.

Who would you take then?

Fatty has to be on the phone to Poch ffs.

I would check out the Ancelotti situation. Obviously things are not right out there with Napoli.

Please fatty.

The abuse will be unreal this weekend in light of these events.

There is a top class manager available now. At least try you fucks.

Deserves his commission.

So we have another name to put on the short list of potential managers.
Even better, we have a name that can be ticked off, Mourinho.
We are desperate for the board to show some urgency and ambition, and be decisive.
We could get:

Pochettino
Rodgers
Nagelsmann
Ancelotti
Allegri
Conte
Ten Hag
Tuchel
and many others.
Or we keep Emery.

Which of those options will our board choose?

Some of those aren’t really options. Conte and Tuchel are in big job. Rodgers has a long term contract. And Poch said he’d never manage us.

Poch going and Mourinhio arriving probably starts some sort of domino effect on the manager merry-go-round.
Ranks up the stakes on a lot of clubs. Us, United and could have effects on top clubs in Europe as well now.

So many good options available… I have no words for the lack of ambition by our board.

At a snail’s pace with them.

Thing is Ten Haag has stated that he wants to stay at Ajax, Nagelsmann has just signed at RB, Rodgers is on a long term contract, Conte just signed at Inter and is already at big club, Tuchel is also already at big club.

That leaves Allegri and Poch who are actually out of a job, and Ancelloti who might leave Napoli or get sacked etc… really not that many options at the moment.

Poch is still unrealistic (despite everything I doubt he’ll want to piss off spurs fans that much) but we have to try ffs

It’s just more dither and delay from the comedy act of Stan Laurel, Fatty Arbuckle and their stooge Dick Emery

Surely they must see the sense of acting now so that hapless Emery is dispatched to the Tower never to be seen again

Tempting list, but can someone explain to me why the transfer of manager is often considered by fans that easy? As if if you are a “big” club you can easily pick off the manager of a “smaller” club mid-season.

I mean, Rodgers, Nagelsmann, Ten Hag, Tuchel and Conte all seem quite happy at their current clubs. Now, let’s rule out Inter and PSG as they are not “smaller” than us, but aren’t Rodgers and Nagelsmann just recently appointed at their clubs and doing well in the league? Nagelsmann even agreed to take on RBL one year in advance. Don’t they have their vision, their project that they want to execute at these clubs? Why would they want to abandon them mid-season.

Of those names, apart from the unemployed ones, I can only see Ten Hag leaving as he’s been at Ajax for a while. But even so it’s more likely at the end of the season than now. Maybe I miss something?

Pochettino absolutely shits on Emery as a manager in almost every regard, but there are still big question marks about him.

Great squad builder, clear and exciting philosophy on the pitch, develops youth etc. But not winning any trophies? Choking a title race? Awful away record at top 6 rivals?

I’d still be very happy if we managed to get him, but it’s hugely unrealistic for me. He should be aiming for Madrid, Bayern etc.
