He’s our left back on merit. I think if a 25 year old came in, played out of position, yet still put in performances greater than that of Calafiori, Zinchenko and Kiwior, it would be respected.
Is he special? Hard to say, but the composure and consistency shown indicates that he’s got a big future in top-level football.
This is first time I noticed that technical ability.
The way he got rid of his opponents on 2-3 occasions was actually quite similar to Dembele.
So composed and chilled to let them challenge him and then just turns them around him using his skill and strength in equal measure.
Again, small sample size, but that was top drawer. Didn’t see that potential as a midfielder either, until now. And generally I thought he looked very positive on the ball, considering he did play as FB, CDM and didn’t get that much chance to attack all the time.
I’m old school I like my experienced players and I think too often with young players you get suckered into a run of good games which is made better by their age.
Very very few academy players ever make it into the first team so it’s testament to his quality that he’s even got here and he’s contributed in a positive way I just don’t see any special quality in him.
I’ll change my tune on him if he’s still doing the do in a year or twos time but for now I hate judging players on such a small sample size of games.
Tbf, him and @Darkseid(sorry if I got that wrong) picked up on Emile not making it here. If I recall correctly you guys had concerns about his fitness from the get.
Footballs a guessing game I can say I got Emile right* and Martinelli but I got Saka tremendously wrong 
None of us really have a clue we just make predictions based on what we see but ultimately MLS might end up being a mega talent and I’ll end up with egg on my face again and I’ll be happy to be wrong.

Definitely a talented player and has a lot of potential. A player who’s integrated well into the side and hopefully will grow and show more of his abilities which we are yet to see.
MLS is pure quality. That LB spot has to be his if this form continues.
Special talent that has slotted in and doesn’t look out of place. Not an easy thing to do.
Tuchel in attendance too. Would be surprised if he isn’t in the World Cup squad.
Could make that England starting LB spot his by next year.
He and that Newcastle lad will surely see the last generation of LB options phased out now, especially with Shaw constantly injured.
With the midfield England have he could be starting there instead
