According to my understanding Mikel Merino is expected to be unveiled as a new player by Arsenal before his first appearance for the club.
It is unlikely the club announces him after his debut, but that remains a possibility.
He will wear the shirt and the shorts of Arsenal football club.

Both for him as a player, his place in the team and the impact he may have.

I think he is an additional player that we need to handle Rodri/City.
If no injury issue, he still has 2-3 years prime for us.
We are just one step closer to City now.
This deal is a much better deal and has more impact than Gundogan going back to City.

I think this signing very much, for me this was the position that was the most important to strengthen.

He’s absolutely quality. I just watched some of his play from the Euros. He’s the Xhaka replacement we should’ve had last year.
His all round game is as good, if not better than any of our first team midfielders imho, barring the creativity of Odegaard and the playmaking abilities of Partey.
