Hate to be a music snob (though I secretly enjoy it) but Kingston Town was originally released by Lord Creator back in the early seventies and, to my ears, is even better.
However, for balance I will credit UB40 for making so much money for the writers of the songs they released. They lifted a lot of Caribbean families out of poverty. Add to that, my sister is mates with the existing members of the band and they’re a really nice bunch.

Amazing football analysis from these guys. “Merino is not a striker and he might have a shit game if he plays there”.
It kind of ignores the fact that we haven’t had an actual striker playing there for over a year anyway.
Link some of the play and try get on the end of stuff, he’s not being asked to replicate Haaland or whoever else.
He’s struggled in midfield but getting into good places hasn’t really been a problem, relatively speaking.

Yes, obviously actual strikers never have shit games because they’re playing in their best position.
I’d say that the loss of Saka has been more damaging to us than us not having a proper striker in the team.
I would go with a 4-2-4-0 formation, two deep midfielders (and 3 in attack with an “inverted wing back”), two attacking midfielders who can push up into the box and two wingers slightly ahead of them. Could be the next big thing, prices of traditional strikers plummeting world-wide.
I’d go Trossard and Merino as two false nines. It will never happen but:

I actually think that would work, I’d have Trossard left of Merino as that’s his natural side. Odegaard and Rice taking it in turns to move up alongside Nwaneri when attacking.

Honestly, I thought he looked much worse when we moved Trossard up front and Merino back in midfield.
