Mikel Arteta

I agree, it was a very reasonable and well written article but, since Arteta has been here, I’ve seen several other people write articles like this after a run of good form.

Like you say, we haven’t turned a corner yet, although I hope he will turn this round because the club have backed him heavily, not only financially, but they have also given him more time than any other club would have.

So, with the players he has bought, and very few injuries, we have to see a lot more consistency against, not just the bottom teams but the bigger clubs as well, with better performances and a minimum top six place.

What an illustrious list of clubs that don’t achieve much.

Still not building a damn thing, Brighton were the better team and it wasn’t close.

If they weren’t so wasteful it would have been even more of an embarrassment.

I’d definitely happily swap Arteta for Potter given we seem unable to attract one of the top big name coaches

I just don’t get it, for the NLD the midfielders stayed closer together to receive the ball but for this game they were to far apart and invited pressure by playing slow balls.

Somebody fire this loser please!!!

Never judge any team on derby games it’s not a true reflection at all

If we can’t lure a top manager then Potter is about as good as you could hope for.

Back to slow ponderous nothing football :hugs::partying_face:

Lol at the Potter brigade.

Looking at that style of football, I don’t want either of these f’ckin footballing terrorists at this club.

There were some real terrible individual performances today but I’m still at a loss to explain why we appeared to revert to emo wiener football. It felt like a lot of sad horseshoe of death stuff.

Partey, for all his quality last week, was wasteful today. Tierney’s delivery was poor. The midfield double pivot felt timid for some reason. Not sure why we didn’t try to match them up.

I don’t think Potter is some managerial genius but Brighton definitely looked the more coherent side. We looked like a team that was exhausted after an emotional derby win and didn’t really have a lot in the tank.

I know other teams will drop points there as well, but I’m really not sure what the plan was today. I thought I knew based on the lineup but it didn’t really shake out that way.

Vieira gave Potter a much tougher game and took a stupid goalkick to rescue a late minute draw.

Arteta ain’t no prodigy or talented coach. I just don’t see it at all. If he gets sacked he’s running back to Pep than try make an actual career out of this.

Auba looked 25 in that game.

Looked 45 in todays game.

Also this project youth is going to be alot tougher than folks anticipate.
