That’s right actually. Regardless, my main point is that he made his comments about China in December 2019 and then continued playing for the club throughout January and February of 2020, so it’s off to say he made his comments about Chinese treatment of Muslims and that’s when Arsenal dropped him.

Yeah exactly, him getting dropped had absolutely nothing to do with him and his comments about China and everything to do with his terrible attitude and mentality.
I don’t buy that stuff about the German national team either, he’s always been more aligned with his Turkish roots and culture. He’s just a cynical bastard and decided to play for Germany because he knew it would be better for his career.

Ozil started his youth career in Germany and never represent any Turkish club in any stage of his career.
It was not like he started for Turkey first and then jump ship or switch; or anything similar to Balogan right now.

Before he moved to Turkey he spent all his free time there, he had fucking Erdogan as his best man at his wedding, was a mouthpiece for the Turkish government during the Nagorno-Karabakh war and now looks like he might be standing in Turkish elections, come on lol

He had a strong Turkish root and no doubt about it, but there is no evidence showing he had all Turkey in mind and had nothing to do with Germany since beginning.

I mentioned the respect bit because we fans expect it from Player 1 but we don’t afford the same back to Player 2. We are bunch of hypocrites like that.
I have seen this forum speak shit about Iwobi recently who has never disrespected Arsenal by any means.

More miss than hit for me at Arsenal.
Pulling sickies for rainy away days, walking around when not in possesion and ultinately not a precense when you needed a star player to dominate the game ( EL final 2019 etc.)
I will remember him for one of the best first touches in the game, incredible scanning and awareness on the pitch, and pin point precise laser like short passing.
Mourinho said it pretty accurately. When Ozil is on the ball, the ball smiles.
