It’s just the woke nature of the world we live in nowadays. ‘Oh my Achilles tendon snapped in two I can’t go on’… pathetic.
Wor Jackie Lambert , tis’ our kid .
Great, finally my chance to highlight that I once played on a fractured ankle for 60 minutes back in the late 80s.
We were really hard back then (or stupid, probably stupid), I went down the pub for the evening too. Drove myself to hospital the next morning (automatic, so used my other foot) and got the unexpected news. I had made the squad for my regional British Rail team so played on it two weeks later and it really fucking hurt, I’ve no idea how I made it from Canvey Island back to London that night.
Anyway, I totally fucked my ankle and every time I kicked a ball after that the pain came back, so after a couple of years I thought “fuck this for a game of soldiers” and I became a referee instead.
So, yes, injuries were invented in the 1970’s by NASA for reasons, but by the 1980’s you could still play football with them.
You’re pinging me as if I’m going to click on it sir.
Unleash the Kraken
If you ever get bored watching Tetaball, just down a shot whenever you hear a pundit or commentator say “he’s fifteen.”
he made a couple of nice passes in his cameo yesterday, would have been a great assist for the first one
hope he makes more small cameos like that this season
Smart kid.
Saw what happened to Chido Obi and said nahh
What happened to Chido?
went to manu and now has no game time
He was expecting to get in the senior team then.. I see. Didn’t know that. Poor decision.
Chido got a stupid contract and that was the end of it. I doubt anything else factored into the decision making.
Downman and his family are ARSENAL through and through. He’s not going anywhere.
So happy to hear this. Losing Maxadonna would have been heart breaking.
Its just so obviously different when its a player who actually grew up at the club. Was never gonna go anywhere else
Given how strong our current squad is, we look primed for a long period of challenging and winning things, there is no better place for Dowman to be than right here, at his home. He could be a part of a golden period of the club.
