I think he can’t be included in List B (U21 players) because they need to have been with the club for at least two years after their 15th birthday. So he has to be on the List A squad whereas MLS/Nwaneri do not.
Stupid rule, but that’s the rule.

Dowman got absolutely kicked to shit in this match. No idea how it took 45 minutes for the Spain LB to get a yellow.
He’s gotta get used it. Saka gets kicked to fuck every game. And being an Arsenal player don’t expect any protection.

I get letting the kids play but at some point you’re risking serious injury to a player.
Just hope Dowdiniho stays injury free and his body can develop strength so he can achieve greatness. He’s some talent that’s for sure.
Opposition players can’t live with him so they do what they’ve done with Saka, kick the shit out of him.
I’m afraid it’s never been any different. The players of old must have been incredibly tough.
Injuries weren’t actually invented until the late 1970s.

Back when men were men Dowman would have had both his kneecaps caved in with sledgehammers by the opposition before kick off and been expected to continue without complaint.
Why are there more injuries now or do you think it’s because there’s more interest in footballers now ?
As @shamrockgooner said, injuries are only a modern innovation.
Cliff Bastin once scored a hat trick against Huddersfield despite being shot dead before the game. In those days you just got on with it.

Players are undoubtedly fitter now than decades back, they are also a lot quicker than in the past due to this and advancements in better boots, pitches, balls. Injuries have increased accordingly

That was Jack Lambert against Blackpool. A particularly tricky one given that it was away from home but he still got a lift home on the crossbar of his mate’s bike after a few pints of bitter.
