Matteo Guendouzi

Decent performance that

Xhaka would most likely be getting bossed by that Georgia u-21 side :face_with_hand_over_mouth::face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Xhaka lives rent free in your head

Oh he does, can’t stand to look at his fucking face worst midfielder the club have ever employed, and the root cause of our on field descent to mid table. He is the perfect example of how the standard at the club has dipped, our whole team plays like Xhaka, incredibly average. Can’t wait for the day he fucks off into obscurity where he belongs. Although I do really find it amusing how many morons actually rate him that’s always funny :joy::joy::+1::+1:

I actually find it funny that some morons think he is the worst midfielder ever…IF ONLY…FFS

I always believe fans/customers are the true boss, as I am in the customer service business for more than a decade.
Not that I meant you could get away after telling your manager/superior to fuck off, this is bad, I know.
It is just, have a bunch of yes-men and average/so-and-so players/employees is just as bad as a quality one having a bad attitude. For instance, I would pick Guen over Elneny anytime anywhere, if the relationship can be healed.
Wenger did not manage the team well on the field in his last few season with Arsenal, but he did managed a pretty good connection with his players. I do not see that from Emery and Arteta.

This is true. Wenger’s the best manager we’ve ever had for that.

Even the players that have left under a cloud (Anelka, Reyes, Cole, Nasri, Cuntegras, RvC)- none of them have ever come back and bad mouthed Wenger specifically

Arteta seems to have respect of the whole unit. A player or two doesn’t dissuade me from thinking otherwise.

This squad would have got nowhere near the FA Cup final, let alone win it, if the players didn’t have a strong connection with Arteta. I’m sorry but someone has to be blind to not see how the players fight, speak, and act about Arteta.

His man management is one of the top reasons why we had any kind of success last season.

This is arguably a bad thing given how he babied an entitled bunch of serial losers

We also don’t fight.

Brighton
Spurs
Villa
Leicester (to some degree)

I love him when we are on the ball

But what I’ve noticed is that he is awful off the ball.

Almost Xhaka level. Probably worse.

Some clips here. This Chelsea goal was especially bad:

Just strolling around. If he is to become top class,he has to sort that

And if we are to play sufferball we can’t have that in the team unfortunately.

It’s up to Matteo to improve that side and make his way back into the team.

Maybe Arteta doesn’t feel he can.

Those kind of games more show that ‘fight’ or being ‘hard-nosed’ doesn’t mean shit if the actually quality is not there.

Another good performance from our lad, won the penalty too.
His play is looking much, much more mature. He doesn’t just run for the sake of it like he used to. Weird seeing him this disciplined.
Not sure if that’s because he’s playing for the U21s though.

Is there still hope for him yet? Has no club showing any interest in him humbled him a bit? I hope so.

Is he now ready to repent?

He has not uttered a word about Arsenal on his twitter for several months, so this caught me by surprise.

So far it’s not looking like he will fetch us any money and at best a possible loan. I’ve resigned myself to the high possibility that he will stay.

If this last month or so have changed his attitude and he’s open to whatever Mikel tells him, he will improve 100% and I’m prepared to be shocked/ wrong about him.

Guendouzi has 2 years left on his current contract. Given his character and his disastrous relationship with Mikel Arteta, I don’t see him signing a new deal.

I think his motivation is to play well with a view to securing a move away from the club at a knockdown price next year.

I would force to renew his contract make shine and sell for £50m

Wonder if he will be brought back in to the fold like nothing happened.

If he wants to get his head down and play then he could be a very useful asset this season. At the least, he can do well as a backup option.

Perhaps the lack of interest from big clubs has recalibrated his ego.
