I feel like Shirley Bassey has to sing an intro for you when you’ve returned after 4 months
Its not a soap opera though. There’s hardly been anything out of the club about it. It’s all come from various twitter sources. We can’t stop them tweeting random shit can we - for all we know half of it could be bullshit lol
Like I said they either made them sign extensions or conversely brought them back in to the fold and kept them on the team. Sure they’ve got work to do but they’ve handled these situations a lot better than we have. Also flogging the other malcontent whatever his name was off to city for stupid money.
You mean Kyle “COVID Sex Orgy” Walker?

Does he mean in general life or football?
Can’t do that shit in 2020
But you didn’t say that, you said what I quoted and Alderweild aside it’s not correct. Danny Rose is so outside the fold that he plays for a different club right now! They don’t deserve any credit here, they are handling these situations just as appallingly as we are apart from the lottery win that was Kyle Walker.
Actually the club can have people like Hornstein to shut the fuck up… he was the one leading all the speculations and rumors.
Because I’m a nice guy
Matteo Guendouzi has not trained with the Arsenal first team since their defeat at Brighton more than two weeks ago. The Athletic has learned that Mikel Arteta has instructed Guendouzi to train alone with a fitness coach, after encountering problems with the player’s attitude and general conduct.
The Frenchman attracted headlines after his post-match spat with Brighton striker Neal Maupay. Although he escaped punishment from the FA, it has been a different matter internally. Guendouzi was called to a meeting with Arteta and technical director Edu in the aftermath of the Brighton game but didn’t impress. Arteta’s decision to exclude Guendouzi is understood to be based on more than just this incident, which is seen as the latest in a series of indiscretions.
After all, this is not the first time Guendouzi has been the subject of disciplinary action by Arteta — during the warm weather training trip to Dubai in February, for example, Guendouzi’s behaviour led to him being excluded from the first-team squad for the subsequent Premier League match against Newcastle United. He was, however, back in the starting line-up for the next game against Everton.
This time around, however, Guendouzi has already been absent for four games. Arteta is understood to be disappointed that the player has not taken the initiative to apologise or shown a willingness to change. While there is admiration for his talent among Arteta’s coaching staff, some at Arsenal feel he has already been afforded enough chances. Arsenal have also explored the possibility of using him in a swap deal in the forthcoming transfer window. The club are due to meet with Guendouzi’s representatives in the coming days to discuss the situation.
Guendouzi encountered similar problems at Lorient, where a dressing-room argument saw him excluded from the first team for more than three months. Arsenal were aware of his fiery character when they signed him from the French club, but were optimistic that careful management could curb his indiscipline.
Since taking charge of the club in December, Arteta has been absolutely clear on the “non-negotiables” he expects from his players — and quick to clamp down on those who deem themselves exempt. In May, a couple of first-team players decided against attending a club conference call to discuss the practicalities of Project Restart. An uncompromising WhatsApp voice note made Arteta’s disapproval abundantly clear.
Arteta reiterated the characteristics he is looking for in his players before the victory over Wolves. “I want players that respect the values that we want to implement, that are 100 per cent committed to our culture and players that are accountable every day for what we demand from them,” said Arteta. “Players that are ready to help each other, fight for each other and enjoy playing together. If you behave like this every day, you are very, very welcome here and we want to get the best out of you and help you to enjoy your profession with us.”
Caaaalum! He’s done it again!
It’s really sad that it’s come to this but it’s pretty clear even with the limited information we have here that Guendouzi is just being an absolute prick. The fact that a 20 year old thinks he knows better than the manager and can just do as he pleases is embarassing. I probably rate him more highly than most do in terms of talent but it seems that his combative personality is manifesting in ways that are harmful to the club and are causing internal issues, and that’s just bullshit.
Literally, a kid whos barely out of his teen years now thinks he’s the main man and can behave like a complete cunt. The fact that he’s doing this when Arteta has come in and tried to bring a sense unity and positivity to the club also does not come across well at all.
@Calum chance!
Calum goal!
Don’t you remember how dirty this club was, when they tried to bad mouth Ozil by saying he refused to train and something like that?
I won’t trust the club unless there is something concrete pops out.
So you think we’ve just decided to turn a really talented young player into an outkast for no reason at all? Does it really strike you as unlikely that Guendouzi is acting up, given what we know about his character and the fact that it’s been documented how he’s behaved at previous clubs? There’s no way in the world Arteta would just choose to isolate a talented young midfielder when we barely have any options there unless he had good reason to.
I guess a Goldfinger adaptation would be most appropriate, given my username, but I’m not picky.
But didn’t that all turn out to be more or less accurate? He was refusing to play away matches up north. He was complaining of back pain. It’s only the managers (Emery, Freddie and now Arteta) who have stopped short of putting him on blast during press conferences.
Depending on the coach and team he plays for, I think Matteo is one of those players that no matter how talented he is, a lot of them won’t put up with his behavior. We’ve seen things in the past with him that have been questionable and shown his immaturity. He’s fiery for sure but doesn’t seem like he’s a real team player and is doing it out of his own ego. Unless a team is winning titles and been successful, I don’t think a lot of managers will put up with him.
We wanted a coach/manager to come in and get rid of bluffers and bad apples and he’s doing that. I’m 100% with Arteta on this, get a great fee for him and get him out of the club if he’s not willing to change his ways. Kids talented but is he worth upsetting and ruining the team spirit that Arteta is aiming for. Show with his past spat at Lorient, that this is always going to be there with him and he might never lose it or he might but it’s certainly looking like Arteta ain’t going to put up with it.
IMO, when they try to get rid of you, they will do whatever they can.
As I said earlier, this kind of “childish” behavior can be taken care of internally, totally not necessary to use the media to crucify the kid in public. A simple statement can serve the purpose, or a few sentences after the game would be enough.
To treat a “kid” like this, it is just way out of proportion.
It was more like saying Ozil refused to train, than unwilling to play in games.
It all started from “training”. Missing training, not willing to train, did not work hard enough in training, etc.
If the club wants to sell him, as I always say, fine, do it, just tell him and everyone that the club doesn’t need him, the club goes to other direction and Ozil does not fit the plan of the manager.
No need to making things up to make the player look bad and justify the benching/sale.
Yes, I am naive and ignorant.
I love this from Arteta and his guys, looks as if he’s put his stamp down
