Matt Turner

No he isn’t. He’s worse that Martinez, Leno, Szcesney, Fabianski and Ospina. All of whom have been our back up over the past ten years.

Why would you exagerrate with Buffon?

We are aiming to be a Champions League team. Turner isn’t good enough.

Not having that he’s worse than Ospina or Fabianski were for us at this stage in their Arsenal careers. He’s three or four games in and he’s basically done nothing wrong.

I don’t think you can genuinely count Leno as back up either. He was first choice and lost his place to our new 25m signing. He was never supposed to be a back up so no surprise he’s a level above a guy like Turner.

Well, Ospina and Fabianski both played consistently for good level Prem and Serie A teams and proved themself to be international level.

Let’s see what Turner does outside of nice saves on astro turf. I’ll shit myself if he has to start significant league games.

I wonder how many people are the same.

I know Vancouver became my favourite NHL team because they were the first team that came up when randomised

Yeah i reckon where are many who have done this. I know someone like it. He loves playing football, and watches more football than anyone I know, but only team he properly supported were his non league local team. So when he started playing fantasy football he used to put Arsenal as the team he supported just because they were first and it “saved time” Now he has adopted them as his “big” team.

Wants to leave already? Doubt it.

Must be working his way through the alphabet then.

I read the “article” so nobody else has to.

Contains precisely 0 quotes from Turner and cites comments made by bald fraud and ex-Spurs keeper Brad Friedel about how Turner is too good to ride the bench. The article also cites a report from another website saying Arsenal have to brace for his exit but that article also has 0 quotes from Turner and cites the same comments from Friedel.

Feels like Brad Fraudel was a missed opportunity.

Can’t see it. Supported the club since he was a kid can’t see him leaving 3-4 months after getting here because of “lack of first team football” when he is still the US number 1

I feel like Bald Fraudel would almost work. Almost. It’s close.

He was solid.
I think he’s gotten very comfortable with the ball.
Apart from that friendly against Cologne (I think), he’s been good for us.

Craig Burley from ESPN went on a rant the other day saying he doesn’t get why the USA coach said Matt improved since joining Arsenal as he hasn’t been playing.
I reckon just training with us his level must have improved. Will be interesting to see how long we can retain him as #2.
I know he’s a gooner and he’s probably ecstatic to be an Arsenal player but I reckon he’ll start looking elsewhere at some point.

Yeah he did have a very solid match Turner.

Looked very reassuring handling the crosses today.
