Mine auto renewed successfully for the first time this summer. I’ve always had to do it manually before regardless of whether I had set up automatic renewal or not.
That’s interesting, are you a red member too? I just double checked and mine didn’t.
Maybe they just stopped it for season ticket holders and for any other memberships they have? This year we had to chose which match option we wanted - you could opt for just the 19 matches in the PL, or pay for the full 23 matches, which includes the CL group stage, so auto renewal was scrapped for this reason.
@shamrockgooner silly question but had your credit card expired?
Nah that wasn’t it but I’m not too bothered it didn’t renew, more so that i now can’t get past the payment to do it myself.
Silver. I was watching carefully for it because of the danger of losing it.
My Platinum I have to do manually every season. I also have a Red membership and a Junior, the Red and Junior failed (card expired) and I got emails advising the failure. Logged in (something like 2000 in a queue), but then manual payment went through without issue.
Just done it at the desk in work with zero problems
People been saying if you have multiple memberships paid for with the same card then they will fail the lesser one(s).
Really stupid from the club if so, plenty of parent and child scenarios if nothing else.
Looking finally to come out for a game when the new season starts. Possibly September or October.
Any tips on getting tickets? I know you have to buy a membership.
Purchase a Red Membership from Arsenal and then you’ll need to look at the Arsenal Ticket Exchange to see if there are any tickets for sale for a particular match.
Season ticket holders have to attend virtually all the matches or make their ticket available for sale on the exchange. If they don’t they lose the right to renew their season ticket for the following season.
This year Arsenal have changed the criteria so if you post your ticket on the day of the match, it has to sell in order for it to not count against you (i.e. count as non-attendance). However, if you post it before midnight the day before the match, it doesn’t matter if it sells or not. As such, if you can’t get one ahead of the fixture, my suggestion would be to check late night, the day before a match for tickets.
I think there will be some form of a ballot for tickets too. Obviously also stand a better chance for League Cup or FA Cup games.
Hope you get to go!
I’ve got another person traveling with me, do they need to buy a membership or would I be able to buy multiple tickets on one membership?
One ticket per membership.
You can link them up though so you can enter ballots together and purchase for one another.
League cup you’ll be able to buy multiple with one membership in all likelihood but the rest no chance. Membership each of you want to be safe
Problem with cup games is they’re unpredictable especially for someone flying in for a few days.
Prem fixture list is already out so it’s easier to book flights, hotels, etc.
Be aware that the league fxtures can change due to televison picks
What happens if you’ve already bought tickets and the dates change? Do you get a refund?
