I love the player, so I am a little biased but I stand by my opinion. That was a bad mistake though today, but thankfully didn’t lead to anything.

It’s abundantly clear the pressure is on him at the minute.
This is why many of us wanted Partey(the player I have to emphasize) to stay at least for another season.
This is the PL. We’ve seen Rodri look like an absolute mess initially. Partey and Jorginho struggled initially themselves.
Huge blow to miss Merino because I would’ve dropped Zubi right now and take some pressure of him.

He’s had a good season, but he’s looked swamped recently and had some brain farts. He’ll come good. Some players start their EPL careers slowly, he seems to have had a strong start but run out of legs as the increased workload/matches per season catches-up with him.
I’m starting to think we need another body in the middle this summer though, Norgaard is okay but doesn’t have enough match practice to fit in to the side for these high-pressure games. More rotation needed in that department in a 70 game season.
Would much rather Elliot Anderson or Tonali starting with Zubi as sub
both quality midfielders would take them in a heartbeat. Especially Tonali.
Please try MLS in the 6 against Mansfield. It won’t prove anything but it will give me hope there is consideration to use him in there in the future.
We can’t rely totally on Zubi, he is not playing well the second half of this season.
And please bring me a fucking creative CM in the summer so we have options to use Rice at 6 more next season.

We really need someone closer to Partey/Jorginho there. At least as an option, if we can’t find a new out and out starter.
Too many workhorses, not enough true incisive passing ability and true quality on the ball.
