Martin Zubimendi (36)

Looks tired.

I’m

Not doubting his quality, but I genuinely want Norgaard in for the scraps. It won’t happen but I’d start Norgaard vs Spurs. Zubimendi looks absolutely fried. Even after not starting in Sunday.

I’m still yet to see a more than a ā€˜good’ player tbh.

Doesn’t help he’s replaced one of the best midfielders we’ve had in 20 years but I think he’s too small and weak to really be our Rodri. His pace is also not there when he gets caught ahead of the ball, unlike Rodri we know he won’t get away with persistent fouling to accommodate it.

Good when we dominate and teams are more open, need to see more overall.

Check who from arsenal is there. The guy that gets abused no matter what

Can we.please try something different in midfield?

Doesn’t even pass the eye test tbh with you. Think he’s an incredibly average player when he’s sitting in the 6 position. His passing is boring, safe and never seems to get the ball into dangerous areas.

I don’t really get the hype right now about him. He was being compared to Rodri in his early days he is absolutely miles off.

Better than Partey apparently…

Zubi is quality, and he’s better than Partey. He was a good player for us, but I think his achievements at Arsenal are often overstated. His injury record alone gets overlooked.

Occasionally transforms into a fuck up merchant that would cause David Luiz to raise an eyebrow.

@The_Invincibles your boy is at it again.

Sort him out, mate.

I know. He almost gave me a heart attack in the stadium today. It was almost as bad as one of Partey’s brain farts. I’ll have a word!

He offers next to nothing when we want to move the ball out from the deep.

Or when we need someone to make something happen in the middle, deeper, make some key move… He’s a peripheral figure there.

A positive player allround, but he’s quite upgradeable.

Is he brain dead? Why does this fucking idiot keep doing this

Your Partey agenda is crazy. It’s not even about the off field stuff which I could understand, you keep going like Partey was some bum on the field for us.

Still relevant post.

I just don’t see what’s so special about him. Maybe Arteta isn’t utilising him effectively but the errors he’s been making are simply unacceptable. Find it hard to believe he’s from Spain, his passing, vision and composure on the ball isn’t top tier.

Good first half of the season, but dog shot the rest of the way.

Needs some time out the team

He isn’t transformable for us. What does he actually do apart from lose the ball

Facts are facts. Playing in this position comes with risk. Zubi has been better at managing it than Partey but it doesn’t mean he wasn’t a good player for us as I’ve said numerous times.

Zubi is not a proper 6 in my book. Gives away needless fouls and makes defensive errors of judgement every other week.

His best quality is scoring volleys.
