The cheeseburger I’m eating would disagree
Nope, people are just going off baseless internet rumours. Seems to be a running theme nowadays.
Isn’t it just an OA thing?
Yes that’s what I meant.
This is where it all started.
Not sure where the info is coming from…
Hearing Ode has had a meat buffet this lunchtime. Expecting him to be all guns blazing tonight.
He’s gone full carnivore now?!
Great news!
OA theory.
If you play like shit, you must be a vegan.
Well, Bellerin is a vegan
No reason why being a vegan would affect a professional player adversely. In fact, a short period of veganism coincided with my fittest period in my late 20s and early 30s. My body went to shit when I started eating meat and diary again. Though the dinners are more interesting now.
Clubs monitor players bloods and muscle condition on a near daily basis and provide supplements to adjust any adverse results.
Many footballers have chosen a vegan diet for ethical and/or religious reasons. Didn’t stop Sergio Augero from being a brilliant footballer did it?

It’s not the only way, but it’s a really good way to detox from processed foods.
Yeah, I’m trying to nudge my wife away from processed foods at the moment. My heart sinks when she says she’s off to Tesco “for a shop” because she’ll come back with frozen shit that’s quick to cook but has none of the benefits of just eating a nice salad or pasta with a bit of fresh fish or meat.
Yeah I completely quit processed food when I quit smoking. Figured I might as well do both at the same time
I used to eat so much shit.
Feeling better for it?
Sorry, we’ve gatecrashed two threads with the topic of health.
Oh 100%.
It took a while for me to feel better from the lack of smoking though. I actually felt worse for a few weeks.
Martin, have a bite of club sandwich before you step onto the pitch
I’ll prepare myself for that then. Thanks for the warning. I’m coming off (prescription) Benzos at the moment too, might as well cut out all the bad stuff at once.

Benzo’s are a different animal. I’d talk to my GP before going full scorched earth, because your mental health is going to take a bit hit if you’re quitting benzo’s at the same time.
To say nothing of the impact of watching this evening’s game.
