If he’s fit enough to play then I’m ok with this. He’ll need the match practise and rather he works off the dust against Slovenia and Kazakhstan than against PL/CL teams.

Match fitness is very important at this level. He’d have been out for 3 months by the time that he’s back that’s a good 10-11 games missed.
He’s had enough time out, we need him to get back fit and match sharp as quickly as possible. If getting him there involves letting him get some minutes under his belt for Norway then it’s ideal for us.

If he can play a couple of warm up games with Norway that sounds ideal to be honest.
If he comes back and gets injured again straight away that’s just as likely to happen playing for us.

He did have games at the time where he didn’t do much tbf but it was more the fact he had some really good games people already expected it every week aged 19 lol
