You’re desperate for Nwaneri to not succeed aren’t you ![]()

I want him to succeed. I just don’t think he’s the answer now. People get so overexcited by the most basic stuff he does.
Yeah.
He needs to learn.
I think that Fabregas at 17 would have slotted into this team and strongly challenged for the title. Who knows, maybe Nwaneri has the same potential.
It is kind of remarkable that a 17 year old could even be on the pitch and not look completely out of place. Anything beyond that is just us projecting forward and assuming he continues to get better and better and better with age.
*me sorting CM’s by ‘creativity’ under the filter ‘unattached’ in FM.
Wonderkids like that happen at times…
But I simply don’t expect him to just go from a guy who is filling the squad number wise to a guy who is a starter of a sudden.
It’s a tiny possibility but it’s not something you can count on atm. Would be a huge leap for him.
He could be a brilliant talent and a world class player in in a few years, but atm everything suggests he’s simply not ready for this level competitively.
Sometimes an injury to a mainstay is exactly what’s needed for a young buck to thrive.
D’yall remember Saka at LB during the Emery days?
How did that come about, wasn’t the main LB at the time on suspension, injury or something else?
Who would it have been? Monreal? Kolasinac? AMN?
Not sure, certainly one of them yups
Tierney and Kolasinac were injured and to be fair to add, Kolasinac was wank for us anyway.
I’m mentally preparing for march
I was debating this with a Villa fan recently and actually Saka barely played left back for Emery.
Freddie was the one that tried to make it a thing, Arteta gave it a go but eventually pushed him further forward again once football returned during the lockdown.
Respect Monreal.
That’s when they’ll release the news he’s having surgery and will be back in October 2025
Well, shit.
Let’s just hope we get Merino back before Ode so we have some solidity in the midfield cause Partey and Jorginho can only do so much, and let’s not forget Partey’s injury record.
Hope to see more of Nwaneri now. Martinelli will also get an extended run of games to find his confidence and some form. Maybe something good will come out of this.
Looks like 1-0 to the Arsenal for the foreseeable. Bring it on
This is why him missing for City away probably isn’t as much of a blow as it will be for other fixtures against lesser sides. As we saw against Sp*rs, if there are any matches to miss him for it’s probably the ones where we’ve got less of the ball and are sitting deeper anyway.
Hopefully we’re looking at 1-2 months maximum here and we can ride the storm, it’s a good chance for others to step up to the plate. I don’t think we should panic just yet.
