This is simply the best news! I absolutely love this guy. Quality player and captain that leads by example on the pitch. I watch him closely at the Emirates and he always gives everything on the pitch and always takes the time to walk round after the match to thank the fans. I remember the debates about him when he first came on loan and then when we were trying to sign him permanently, including all the debates over whether we should go for Maddison or Odegaard. I’m so pleased we have Odegaard at Arsenal and great to see another young and talented player commit his future to the club. Hats off to Arteta and Edu for signing him and convincing him to commit his future at Arsenal. Fantastic to see us tie down virtually all of our key players…we just need White on a new deal now. Exactly how a big club should behave.
The future is ours if we can keep progressing along the same trajectory. The transfer strategy going forward now is simple. We need to top quality not numbers. As others have said above, and as I said during the summer, next priorities are a top quality striker, DM, and another right sided winger. There may be opportunities to upgrade in certain positions, but we should be able to get good money for any of our existing players.

You’d like to think that our window is just opening now and maybe, just maybe with Pep leaving City at the end of this season (let’s be serious, he’s not sticking around) and some good draws we could do it.
I have a pretty strict criteria for getting tattoos but if we won the CL I’d probably get an Arsenal tattoo. I’d be absolutely delirious.

Great move from the club to wrap this up, the man runs everything.
Am going to celebrate MO’ contract extension with a big slice of humble pie. He is so much better than I saw him becoming. Brilliant player and the right man to be leading the next phase of the project. Talisman.
Started the game well and led with his pressing but he became very anonymous as the fame progressed.
That yellow he picked up for complaining to the ref was pretty stupid because you could see being conservative in his challenges as well.
Very much needs a rest midweek.

Poor game overall, didn’t see the ball as much as he should have but yeah one of his worst of the season in terms of running the game
Maddison got the better of him in that department
The yellow was definitely foolish as it makes you have to play with the handbreak on in terms of getting stuck in
I think he did really well all over the pitch almost, just not too much of an impact right in front of goal maybe, but that’s fine once in a while.
Barely noticed him in the second half and that’s grounds for a substitution. ESR really should be trusted in such circumstances
Tried hard but nothing came off for him with the ball, was a poor game overall.

It’s a strange one, though. In the 99th minute today, Odegaard is still someone I’d want on the ball in the attacking third.
Very poor game from him. Timed it horribly. Could have saved it for PSV and we’d still, undoubtedly, have had enough to win that game.
Was absolutely fine until we lost Rice and Vieira.

Started well but faded out after the card and the subs came on.
Seemed like he was playing deeper in the second half.
Poor today, but he’s got enough credit in the bank.
Poor is poor, the credit he collected is for some other off the field concerns.
Probably that’s why almost the whole team could escape from criticism because they got the credit from previous season(s).
I have far more expectations on so called the great/good ones, especially the NLD.
If you guys say Havertz is shit … ok, then we don’t even need to expect anything from him.
Ode, Saka are below standard (probably poor) in this game. Can’t use “credit” to cover their asses.
No we need to expect something from Havertz, we’ve outlaid 65 mill + 200k + a week in wages.
If Havertz cost 30 mill + 120k a week in wages the criticism probably wouldn’t be anywhere near as harsh.
