We’ve got so many “best players” and “most important players” - you can make a strong case that Ødegaard is top of both categories.

Martin is an absolute magician. His ability to drag back and manipulate the ball in tight areas is world leading. An absolute pleasure to watch and he absolutely bangs goals in for fun too.

Absolutely, Odegaard has more consistency, intensity and goals in his games.
Odegaard used to have similar game like Ozil where he would get nullified if things didn’t go our way but in last 2 seasons Ode has become one of those players who would get things done on his own when things are not clicking.
He has eclipsed Ozil there and in terms of leadership.
The instant goal reply against United was a real defining moment in that game.
