Well played.

In retrospect, he didn’t do that bad at Chelsea.

He won’t have a control freak over him and 50 players to manage.

Judging from the stories leaking out now the players can’t stand Erik so he’ll be coming in with the benefit of that.

Can see him having an Ole effect if he came in.

Two losses away from getting sacked imo.

There are multiple revolving doors at United. Players who are already there will run down contracts while players coming in will demand premium wages. The only way I can see them getting out of this cycle is by graduating academy players into the first team and that takes a whole infrastructure change.

Would be pretty apt if they sack him after ten losses. Or have they reached that already?

Erik Ten Losses :arteta:

Deep down @Forever and @Bl1nk hope hets sacked ASAP so he can try and save whatever can be saved at Ajax this season.

Will be hilarious if the first thing he does is try to sign all the Man Utd flops under him in January. Antony remontada.

We were in similar situation, we had players on long term contracts with awful wages…they need to get rid of some players like we did witih ozil and auba, pay them out, just get rid…whatever the cost

This bastard needs to start winning games soon. The tide is turning

His ex Ajax players aren’t even performing. It’s very bad over there at Old Trafford.

Their next three league games look very winnable though.

I was thinking, I used to consider our banter era from say Eduardo - Özil (2008-2013 or so) as the worst banter era in the PL… but I’m beginning to feel like United’s last handful of years have maybe overtaken ours as the worst banter era in PL history.

What do you guys think?

Oh fuck, looks like he might get the sack sooner than we want. Let’s hope they can get a dodgy win against Fulham, like all their wins have been this season.

It’s worse because we moved to a new stadium and our transfer spending was limited for several seasons so couldn’t compete with the big spenders like Man U, Chelsea and Man City.

Since Ferguson left, they’ve been one of the biggest spenders in Europe but have actually got worse, despite hiring the best managers.

To get thrashed at home by Newcastle is embarrassing but if they don’t beat Fulham, Luton and Everton in their next three games, then ETH is gone because it’s obvious the players don’t want to play for him.

Look back, I think our genuine banter era was 2018-2021. As said above, we were hamstrung financially. Though that still doesn’t excuse failing to win the CC (Koscielny), Europa w/Emery, Premier League in 2008.

Even our ‘bottling youngsters’ of 2006 - 2016 had more drive than the drivel wearing our shirt during the tail-end of Wenger’s tenure, Emery and early Arteta.

The banter era is well and truly signalled by that pic of the 5 British lads signing new deals.

Loved his passion for the club but Carl jenkinson is prime banter era arsenal. Mid 2010’s iirc.

ooh yeah I forgot about that pic .

How did they manage to get top 4 every year, is beyond me. Wenger is a genius for that alone

What are the United equivalents to AFTV? Need a good laugh.

Why is he being targeted? Never played as bad as so many before and after him.
