Manchester United

As evidenced by Giroud at the 2018 World Cup

Fuck that, we’re nothing like them. They’re a weird breed man, I’m telling you.
They’re all airheads.

(Ok, it might just be my experience with them)

From an Ajax perspective it is similar to when Ten Hag signed and utilised strikers like Haller. Who played for a French farmer club, then came to Ajax and banged in goals for fun in the CL and league.

2021/22 UEFA Champions League top scorers:

11 Sébastien Haller (Ajax)
9 Robert Lewandowski (Bayern)
8 Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)
7 Christopher Nkunku (Leipzig)
6 Riyad Mahrez (Manchester City)
6 Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United)

Yeah that’s right. Scored more goals with a Mickey Mouse team like Ajax. More than Lewandowski, Salah and GC Maniac’s fuckboy Ronaldo in that CL run.

So, I will reserve my judgement on how Weghorst will settle in. Ten Hag has a knack for making seemingly mediocre players, play rather well, a hallmark of a great coach (Tadic to Ajax, Blind to Ajax and a whole lot of South Americans coming from nowhere).

Overall I think we have a more intelligent fanbase. However we still have a shitload that are similar to your description above. Arteta Out was trending last season and people didn’t wanna buy Odegaard, lets not forget :joy:

It’s great to see Man U go from winning titles and having the best European players to signing an underwhelming striker from Burnley to try and get a top four place.

Yeah he is not going to be the difference in making top 4 or not.

The fa apologises for giving them four games in nine days

Really?

Seemingly so according to talksport

Leeds had 6 games in 10 days in the spring of 1970.

ManUre can fuck off.

Didn’t we have 2 games a week leading up to the World Cup with 4 europa squeezed in there

Meh, that’s minor. Championship teams have that all the time lol

Remember it vividly do you?

So what? They’ll lose their next 2

You ruined it.

Nah, ideal scenario for our title charge is them beating City, they give it the big one, and then we slap them next.

**Winning the NLD will make it even sweeter.

I’m old enough to remember Arsenal going unbeaten earlier this season and the narrative being centered on how we hadn’t played any good teams. Weird how ManU haven’t been subjected to the same scrutiny.
