Yeah I really hope so, although I wouldn’t be surprised if we beat Fulham and Villa for a sweet 5/5 and then in true Arsenal fashion United slap us down at Old Trafford
United will have a season where they play well sometimes and play really badly other times. I’m not concerned about them as an immediate threat because you can’t undo the weaknesses they have without actually replacing said players.
They’ll have a decent campaign, certainly better than the doom mongers have been predicting but they won’t do anything of note. We’ll finish above them quite handily.
Do you not see them as a threat in the EL?
Not a single peep about Owners.
Just goes to show that as long as you feed football fans with results on the pitch, it really doesn’t matter whether the club is in debt, dividends are taken or a journalist is murdered & chopped.
Depends on the journalist. If it was Piers Morgan. . .well you know. . .
I don’t mind this. Shows passion better than a boring commentary
Yeah, am glad too but for other reasons. Didn’t watch the game so I don’t know how poor Liverpool were and if United deserved to win on their own merit but I’d so love this to be a false dawn for them.
They were honestly very good. But I really felt it was akin to the Palace game against us last season. Evening kick off under the lights, a good early start and a crowd right behind them from the off. Liverpool never got going.
They have Southampton next who have also experienced an upturn in form.
Even dropped points against Southampton could stunt United’s progress. Keep the tricky fixtures coming for the cunts ![]()

“If United play like they did last night”
They won’t play like that every week though, will they Andy? They won’t be playing against a trash Liverpool team, who have momentarily forgotten how to defend, every week.
Good luck playing Southampton on the counter like that.
And there’s no way this United team maintains that level of intensity on a consistent basis. They were really up for it yesterday because it was a huge game against Liverpool. Let’s see if Bruno runs around like that when they play Newcastle, Palace etc.
Also, I really like Darren Bent. He sticks up for Arsenal a lot and gives it back to the likes of Goldstein when they chat rubbish. Good lad he is.
