Manchester United

Congrats, did he win it ?

He doesn’t have anywhere close to the credentials to come at Pep, what a load of rubbish

Nah, he plays for Brighton

There is a difference trying to win it with peak Barcelona or with Ajax. Who says Ten Hag wouldn’t have won it with peak Messi and peak Barca?

How many years at City and how many CL’s? What’s his excuse? Master coach and unlimited spending?

There is no humour when Erik Ten Hag speaks. There’s no letting your hair down. Straight business talk.

God willing United get smashed by Southampton as they deserve misery.

That does not equate to him being a better coach, it was a good run and he deserves credit but he is not a better coach than Pep .

He hasn’t done even half of what it would take

Looking at what he did with Ajax, especially in THAT CL run, but after that too, rebuilding the team… I can only say if he can only implement half of his ideas and work he’s done with Ajax in United too, they’ll be very, VERY dangerous in the coming years.

We could maybe have the Arsenal vs United rivarly for the top top spots again. Especially after Pep leaves.

Ok, we’ll see what Erik does when Man Utd will spend 300+m on transfers this window, on top of the squad he has now which costs more than half a billion already.

Keep the same energy though. I won’t accept excuses like Man Utd had too many stars or had ageing players. Pep had that too at Barca, Bayern and City.

This is weak sauce and there’s no way you’d allow someone away with saying this about Wenger without challenge.

Yeah we will see. Easy to hail Pep as a better coach. But I am far more impressed with someone doing so well with a club from a farmer league on a shoe string budget than someone at a big club with star players and insane budgets.

That’s just me.

Like Ajax isn’t the biggest club in Dutch football…

These are the clubs Pep managed… of course he has a better track record. Look at the clubs he coached :money_bag:

Ten Hag managed Twente and Ajax.

Hence why I am more impressed by his Ajax CL runs and domestic dominance than Pep’s accolades.

Still in a farmer’s league and a shoestring budget compared to City, Barca and Bayern

I’m here for the arguement but do you think EtH will have United competeting for a title within the nex 5 years?

If United persist with him after bad spells this year, then yes. Within three if he can get the players he needs.

There’s no hair period. Looks good on him though.

Glad they beat Liverpool. Now let’s see if they can build momentum. I’m still skeptical.

I’d rather they didn’t build anything and lose their next 5 if it’s all the same

I’ll be really annoyed if Liverpool just kickstarted United’s season/transition

Don’t worry, we’ll knock them back down in a couple of weeks
