Manchester United

That was absolutely cringy

We’re at the point where there’s zero evidence of a coach thriving at PSG despite their resouces and strong playing squad.

It shouldn’t be held against any ex PSG coaches who have mostly gone on to do better things at other clubs more suited to their ideals and ability.

Is zidane the guy that can work and well for PSG? Not sure under their current structure.

Point is the PSG failures shouldn’t be held aginst Poch no matter how ugly it gets. The dysfunction is beyond his control

They can fail but it’s the manner of the failure though.

If he was whipping up the Ligue 1 like it was nothing and didn’t win the CL despite a very good effort then fair enough.

However, the way it’s gone is pretty poor considering the kind of coach he’s supposed to be. Football hasn’t been anything out of the ordinary and the inconsistency is glaring despite the fact they will likely win the league.

Still the question mark whether he can actually deal with and coach big time players rather than those that thrive with the underdog mentality like he had during his highs with Spurs.

I mean early in the season, it was like Poch was throwing darts with what system he was using. Messi out left today, Neymar up front. Mbappe up front. Neymar up front. Messi up front. Messi as a #10. Maybe Mbappe out left… Diamond today, 4-2-3-1 tomorrow. 4-3-3 next week…

Hit and hope something works, I know the club itself is a mess with Leonardo but that did not bode well.

Never seen him in the transfer market really have we. No money at spurs and no real say at PSG.
Big issue that to be trusting in at United.

Look at the football they played under Laurent Blanc. Some of the smoothest football they’ve ever played. Had some nice moments under Ancelotti, some memorable games under Emery with some lovely performances despite his erratic tactical approach.

I think Pochettino has been far and away their weakest manager since the Qatari ownership stepped in.

Can’t manage the egos, plays horrible football, had no identifiable system of play and can’t seem to make his mind up where he wants his players to play.

I rate Pochettino as a manager.
He did well at Southampton and spurs because the team played to his system but PSG is like a circus and I doubt he has much say over transfers.

He’s got some of the best European attacking players like Messi, Neymar, Mbappe, Icardi, Di Maria, Draxler, etc, but he’s got to try and keep them all happy, as well as other experienced elite players.
So any top manager, s going to struggle to control that many egos in the same team.

Saying that, Man U are in a similar situation.
They have plenty of world class talent but several experienced, successful managers have found out that they’re very difficult to manage and he won’t get a few seasons to build a team.

Man U are in a mess and, as good as Pochettino is, I think they would be better off with someone like Conte, who would go in and shake them up, which isn’t something I could see Pochettino doing.

He knew that going there though. He didn’t have them egos at spurs but goy sacked in the end because he lost the faith of that dressing room.
It’s 3 years since that CL final and he hasn’t shown any top credentials since then.

Poch is a fraud

I never thought I would say this a few months ago but Arteta is better

They need to build around Fernandes and Sancho. Both can provide 15+ league goals when the system is right.

They also need major work on their midfield and defence. Too many mediocre mentalities, too much toxicity. It’s actually mad we are still talking about how dogshit their midfield is. They’ve had this issue for literally a decade now.

A practical manager might get this same squad up to 3rd, but if they go down the Ten Hag route then there’s so much work to be done in order to bring the right type of players in.

I foresee another £300m spend coming up this window if they appoint him.

Every year passes with no identifiable midfield upgrade it’s disastrous. They haven’t signed a good midfielder since Pogba.

It’s astonishing that a club that’s spent so much money had failed to strengthen such an obvious glaring weakness

Astonishing. Baffling. Absurd. Idiotic.

Long may it fucking continue :arteta:

Unfortunately they have so much money that eventually it’s inevitable they spend their way back to success.

I sadly think there’s a bigger chance that they win the league again before us.

Rocking with Fred and McTominay for this long has given me joy, such an uninspiring and lame midfield and neither should be seeing significant minutes for a team like United.

It’s funny as we took so long to bring in a player like Partey too when it’s clear as day that profile of player is a must have but thank God we did, a player like Bissouma or Rice would do wonders for their play in the middle of the park.

Unfortunately I can see Rice going there regardless of whether they secure CL football or not.

What has Poch done apart from bottle lol

Arteta wins a trophy in 6 months with a terrible arsenal team.

Poch has the best Spurs team in a generation and only puts the pressure on.

Arteta would sort PSG out instantly. Give all the cunts with an ego like Messi, Neymar, Mbappe, Verrati, Icardi, Donnarumma, Marquinhos, Paredes away for free and get 11 good British lads in.

I did say in summer he’d have won that Euros for you lot. Would have shit housed his way right past that old ass Italian side with the power of youth.
