Not an unexpected result.
But a very important one in the race.
They might get a boost with Semenyo and Guehi, very important they threw away a couple of extra points before they get those.

If they add Guehi for the estimated £30-35m in January that’ll mean they’ve spent £100m beefing up their squad mid season with two of the most highly regarded players in the league outside the traditional “big clubs”.

As starters? Because I would take Donnarumma, Kovacic, Bernardo Silva and Cherki blindly for this squad.
If I already got Rodri, I don’t see why you would want Kovacic as starter.
Raya is in form of his life so Donnarumma is also not a big upgrade.
Bernardo Silva is past it now.
I like Cherki’s unpredictability so I give you that.

I’m not sure he is an upgrade at all right now tbh. Raya was always superior with his feet but this season he has made some excellent saves even though Donnarumma is apparently being the more traditional keeper who excels as a stopper despite being poor with his feet.
Raya also has superior hair and Donnarumma could do with a trip to Turkey considering he is only 26 but looks like he could be my dad.
