Neither of us know Jack Grealish, so we have both made superficial judgements about him, the difference being that my view of him is broadly positive, and yours is the reverse.
I could be persuaded he’s a cunt, I don’t think that treating kids nicely guarantees someone is a good person, but to be persuaded there would have to be something I can observe, and so far you’ve just said you think he’s a cunt cos of your gut. I didn’t really know what to do with that.
What was your gut with your ex? Bet you’re not sure if you trust your gut now, do you?!
I can’t see City selling many this summer to be honest. Bernardo may move on and obviously Phillips. Can’t see why the would sell Grealish unless an unbelievable replacement became available I.e. Musiala or Pedri.
Well I just shared my opinion and gave reasoning how it’s formed, I don’t think I’ve even given the slightliest of hints that I was trying to push my opinion onto you.
Not sure why you decided to take a turn for passive-aggresiveness, I genuinely don’t believe I provoked it, but given the fact that I quoted you I can perhaps understand why.
Nah on the contrary, I trust my gut even more now but I am not someone to turn the other cheek. A person with a more mild personality can be left seriously scathed psychologically.
As for what my gut with her was, it went on a journey from all nice, to cognitive dissonance where you should trust your gut but you don’t because you’ve already have a distorted opinion of the person based on the superficial, but mastered to perfection fake act, and that can last an eternity unless you learn to trust your gut quickly, to finally coming to your senses.
My first post could be considered a little passive aggressive on reflection, or if not pass agg, at least a little sassy. But I think my second one in reply to you was a sincere elaboration, and not particularly passive aggressive.
But yes, it’s probably because you quoted me, it gave me the impression that you were disagreeing with me and trying to engage me in a discussion about Grealish’s character.
I said I quite liked him because I’d seen him treating (disabled) kids well, your reply outlined how your ex was great with kids, worked with disabled kids professionally etc, but was actually an awful person. I inferred from this example you gave that you were suggesting that I was misguided in having a positive impression of him because of how well he treats kids.
Yeah I was indeed referring to the first reply, no issues with the second one. I did use your post as a platform to share a different opinion, I’ll reflect on how to do that better.
Fundamentally, I agree with you to be honest. Each persons body and mind speaks a language very pertinent to the individual and when your body tries to communicate with you, regardless of how, it nearly always makes sense to listen: whether be simple intuition or something medical. My only question would be how accurately you could bare a view on somebody without meeting them in person.
Grealish and Akanji are the only two City players I do not get cunt vibes from personally.
You didn’t need to respond to be fair. Does your gut tell you that City as a club are the work of the devil and that they deserve to be severely punished? Mine does.
I stand corrected re. JG’s cuntiness. I don’t pay much attention to what players get up to off the field outside of the sphere of Arsenal. Only the shenanigans on match day.
I hate Grealish based on what he does on the field aka being a diving little cunt. I don’t give a shit if he is nice off the field, I don’t care at all about footballers as people. They are all unrelatable millionaires who kick a ball for a living (and that includes Arsenal players).
Tbf there are some who come off as interesting people. I think of a guy like Borja at Betis/Leverkusen or Thorsby at Genoa.
And fwiw Grealish could very well be a dickhead at work but great with kids. One of the nastiest most condescending Judges I ever appeared in front of was excellent with kids.
I think you’ll be shocked to find that a lot of the clubs are in agreement regarding this.
City know what they’re doing, they’re using a common complaint for a reason.
I’m curious how many might agree. I honestly don’t know.
I think the new anchoring proposal may be a preemptive strike against the possibility of City winning this case, and that proposal had pretty widespread support in the league when the preliminary version was voted on last month (I believe only City and United voted against, while Chelsea abstained). There may be issues with that rule as well that need to be navigated. But if they’re limited to spending 4.5x the domestic broadcast revenue of the lowest earning PL club, it makes all these questions about their own (dodgy) revenues moot.
