Man Utd vs Arsenal (PL) 0-1

Same like us with the FA cup, most cases I’d rather United than the others but not when our record is involved.

We have had players carrying injuries but still playing. Saka, Odegaard, Jesus, White…

All this shows me is that mentally some players are weaker than others and look for a way out sometimes - just like Ozil with his recurring back injury when he just didnt feel up for it.

Arsenal are now flying and EVERY player wants to be a part of it and start every game. Manure FC are floundering and half the squad isn’t available. Chavski the same.

There will obviously be exceptions and cases where injuries are serious, but I dont think it is a coincidence with the injuries.

I’ll only really be nervous if City somehow drop points at Fulham.

I think we’ll win as we are a lot better than United, but if City miraculously drop points it will make it tougher, the expectation will be then that Arsenal will be champions.

If you think a doctor has that much impact then you are overestimating things

I think it could’ve played a role, just sharing some views from others and commenting on it (see my response to shammy). We had issues everywhere. I’m glad there was a massive clear out around the club. There are a lot of cogs in the wheel and many were broken. Even if some were doing well, you can’t ignore that how things were run may have impacted them at least a bit. This is now where Utd is with our previous doc who was part of a broken system for years.

Any issue like that would certainly be more complex than one specific doctor. No consideration for even simple things like genetics or the type of game a specific player plays and the particular injury(ies).

As well as all that, I’d be pretty surprised if any club doctor is dealing with the entire injury management process which would include dealing with various specialists etc.

I also think fans of clubs tend to notice their own club’s injury list much more than that of other clubs.

First game we’re going to OT with Partey since 2021(when we beat them 0-1).

Was that with the Partey/Elneny midfield? The Auba offside/not offside goal?

I do recall Elneny running like a madman in the final seconds of the game.

He was phenomenal that day.

Yes.

Yes.

No. That was previous OT game, which we played under Emery. We drew that day.

They’re spent, we’ll destroy them. Trust.

last season’s game was a travesty. VAR did to us that day, what VAR did to Liverpool vs. Spurs. Perfect Martinelli goal disallowed.

We’re gonna batter them this time, we have so much to play for.

So many of those wins for United were by 1 goal.

I feel like our team has a bit of presence and fear factor now. A confident start and early goal will see these lot crumble.

Btw have we ever had odds like these at Old Trafford? The gulf is huge. United are over 6/1 with one bookies!

This is the history.

As with tonight you have to respect that.

We cannot be too overconfident, but also we can’t give them too much respect.

It’s a tough one, but please Havertz must start at CF for one thing.

Team picks itself really. Only question is Kiwior or Tomi.

Havertz surely starts…

The only question for me would be whether to start Martinelli or not. Trossard has been in the better form and deserves the start, but I’d be quite tempted to use Martinelli’s pace vs United’s open defence.

Also Jorginho vs Partey could be a 50-50 one, although it doesn’t change things much. Same with Tomi vs Kiwi.

Man U are 7/1 at home to us, which is something that hasn’t happened before.
But this is the worst group of players with the worst manager Man U have had in the PL so that might have something to do with it. :grinning:
