Yeah City are not as convincing as they were last year when we met them there, I got good felling about our chancer tomorrow

Yeah forgot they drew with Chelsea. But still not a defeat.

We are in form in the league, but I still don’t think it’s something we can hold over Man City. We’ve lost games this year (not in the league, granted, but still). They haven’t.

We’ve won our last eight games, scoring more than thirty goals and although Man City are on a good run, they’ve dropped a few points and haven’t had as many clean sheets.

It’s true our record at Man City isn’t great but we’ve already beaten them this season, as well as Liverpool, and we’re stronger than in previous seasons, which is the difference.

Even if we are the best in-form team in the league… it’s been 3 weeks since the last game played. Everything is reset imho.

Also when looking at the league holistically… we’ve lost the most games out of the top 3. City have lost 3, and Liverpool only 2*.

As a reminder, we were at around 70 points at this time last season and still fumbled it; so I’m nervy as hell for tomorrow’s game. Would’ve been great to have an 8-10 point buffer at this stage

We are definitely the underdogs. The media are slyly trying to pile the pressure on us when it should be on City.

Tbh, would love everyone outside the club to look at us as the underdogs. Only thing that truly matters is whether our lads have the belief to go all the way or not. Hope they do.

We have also won the most games…

And scored the most goals and conceded the least.

We’re just a very good football side basically, I think we’ll be in title conversations for the foreseeable future.

If we’d rolled straight on from Porto I’d have been a bit more confident. Do feel the break resets things a little but hopefully just given Mikel time to get them ready.

City are favourites, no doubt about it. We have to go in and make the whole league stand up with an Arsenal victory at the Etihad.

That’s true but the team has had another season experience of playing together and also have more quality with players like Rice, Havertz and Raya, as well as more strength in depth.
Man City beat us to the title after we lost form in the last few games but this season we’ve hit good form when we need it.

Is this based on now or historically?

I wouldn’t have KDB in there right now - that is a heart over head decision I think.

Think Rice is unlucky to miss out as well.

Rice has a shout of being in but it would have to be at Odegaard’s expense. Think it is hard to argue with that 11.

White is in better form than Waker.

3-4-3 have Rice in midfield, either Gabriel or Dias take Walker’s place

No way Walker has been better than White this season.
Also, Rice instead of KDB. KDB has barely played this season ffs.

Yeah I’d take todays Rice over todays KDB and I am firmly in the camp of KDB being a transcendent prem player.

Just checked, and KDB has started just 6 games this season. What a circus of a list to have him ahead of Rice in there.

Who gives a flying fuck.

It’s just a reflection of how good they have been over so many years. They have players with bigger reputations than ours but that doesn’t count for much on the pitch. We have what it takes to give them a proper game.
