Man City vs Arsenal (FA Cup) 1-0

I really like the team.
Vieira finally has a chance to start in what’s almost our staring XI, next to Partey and Xhaka, Saka etc. I really expect him to show something tonight, altough it will be tough against City’s press.

Massive game for him tonight and an opportunity to show he’s a better option for us for the rest of the season than what we thought so far.

Let’s go boys!

4:1
Eddie and Trossard with a brace

Ohh ffs only just seen Holding is in the line up :arteta:

:bellcry:
:sob:

Ffs is Saliba really tired lol?? What’s the point?!
Can’t understand this move…
(Ok only just seen Tierney is in the team too; I should read the line ups more thoroughly :hipster: we’re fecked)

That title race was lost away at Birmingham when Eduardo had his leg broken and the team lost their heads and never really got their belief back.

That FA Cup game didn’t help either.

Yep. A week between em. I went to both. Horrible

With Holding starting that’s a huge possibility Anyways, the bloke is bonafide dogshit.

Our press has to do a massive job, Halaand will score 5 goals surely if we let City to sit around our box all the time.

That all comes down to mental strength tbough, our 2008 team didn’t have it, this team might be capable of putting a hammering to the side with a heavily rotated side.

Be frank, what’s the purpose of this lineup?

We are not playing our best, neither we are trying to tank…

I don’t get it.

If you’re going to rotate, then go all in and rest everyone.

Otherwise go full strength and let’s see where we are.

This is as shit as those half and half scarves.

Yeah, what’s point of resting guys like Saliba or White, but leaving guys like Partey (injury prone) or Saka (played 700 games this season) in the team?

I don’t get this line up

Haaland apparently hasn’t scored against any of the Top 6 sides bar United till now. A small glimmer of hope.

especially we are short in midfield now, and why playing Partey and Xhaka if we are not going full strength???

Yeah for Haaland lol.

He’ll be looking to bounce Bob Balding back to Turkey for a second hair transplant

Seems the plan is to stay in the game and bring on our big weapons on later if we’re still in the game or not bother if it’s a lost cause by then.

Don’t agree with it but it is what it is. Prefer to win.

So you don’t get totally murdered plus it makes the minutes for guys like Vieira and Trossard meaningful as they have time on the pitch combining and playing alongside some first 11 players. If you rotate the whole team the minutes for those guys aren’t really valuable, all their doing is sharing pain with Marquinhos, Sambi, and Cedric.

City will win without trying too hard and thus underestimate us at full strength in the league game. Arteta has done it again.

You either do your best by sending out your best 11, or you tank it by sending out the 2nd/3rd team.
There is no in between.
We may even lose the game if we send our best out, so are we expecting our half strength team would stop a massacre??
We may, but I don’t agree with this approach.

Let’s pray

Holding is the major issue… Idk, maybe Arteta thinks he’s the answer to Haaland?

:pires2:

I’m OK with Vieira slotting into the midfield with Partey and Xhaka, it will affect us but it wont destroy us totally… I’d be fine with one change, two at best in our back line… But leaving only Gabriel is just too much, especially against City.

At least one of Saliba/White should’ve stayed in the line up in order to preserve some stability in our back line.

I think we need a miracle to survive with this back line against a full strength City attack&midfield.

Genuinely got no nerves ahead of this game. The press hyping this game like it’s the title decider which is just them desperately finding ways of belittling our club once again.

If we beat them with a weaker team, fantastic. If we lose, fixture congestion sorted.

Yep. I heard the united game mentioned too on something. Don’t even remember it. Was 100% the fall out from this game.

It’s football suicide to go to the Etihad with a makeshift defence and think you’ll be ok.

Been looking forward to this game all day, and now I’m not even sure I can be bothered to watch us getting pummelled.
