Happy with this lineup. Gets players like Trossard, Turner, and Vieira a chance to get minutes playing alongside a lot of other first 11 players. Give Tomi and Tierney a start in case they need to step in and start league games soon.
I think we’ll lose but I’m honestly fine with it.
This is like a six matcher in the same way that a league fixture is a six pointer. Whoever wins is going to likely have 2-4 extra midweek matches and therefore 2-4 extra league fixtures in which they are dead legged.
We will have many years to compete hard for this cup once the squad is complete and we’re ready to challenge on all fronts. Focus on the league this year, winning it would be a sliding doors moment for the club.

Our bench is pretty strong so we should be able to stop it getting out of control.
So he has basically rested 6 of the starting eleven, don’t mind that but I just think we should have gone completely all in and rested Saka and Partey also then.
