Man City v Arsenal (Premier League)

We have to stay positive for the players, they will most likely be feeling really down and nervous after their last few performances. We have to go there and shout as loud as we can to get behind the team. If cityscore we continue. We don’t give up

A draw does keep us alive in the title race. Right now I’d take it for sure.

We have the points on the board. A 5 point lead meaning they have to win both games in hand. Even one draw and we take back control.

They could easily go on a complete winning streak. With the CL games against Madrid in there, it would be quite an achievement to still be perfect in the league.

We need to win at the Etihad. Four draws in a row would be pathetic.

We are definitely due a win if you consider points per game throughout the season. The odds maybe stacked against us, but you just never know. This team has made me proud this season whatever happens. I don’t deny Iwill be gutted if we don’t win the title but I’ll still be super proud whatever happens.

We have to chase everything every ball every player we have to hassle them in throw ins we have to play like this is the final game of the season and it matters. Nothing short of that will do.
WE CAN DO THIS !

The closer this match gets and after the despair of Friday fades I find myself thinking…“we can do this” or “we can beat them and still win this title”…

It’s the hope that kills you, but I just can’t let go of that hope. Not yet.

This season has been remarkable, surely there has to be one more magical moment that really reinvigorates our season again.
I’m probably setting myself up for more heartache, but I just can’t shake the feeling that we have it in us to do this.

Almost time to start drinking in preparation for this match

Exactly why I always said he should’ve focused on being a winger.

He had the physical attributes for it (when fit) and his crossing was his best skill. He never had the vision for CAM or the CM he wanted to be.

Shame because he could’ve been a really good and powerful wide player. Injuries probably would’ve still fucked his career though.

You take a draw as it reignites the whole club and just as importantly stops this run of form city are on.
It’ll give the players a lift and will give them a second wind and a mental release.
I feel the credibility and positivity off it would be enough to finish our remaining games back in form.

A draw does nothing. It’s a red at the traffic lights for City and just means we stumble into second when they play their games in hand.

If we beat City, that gives them a flat tyre.

Draw is fine, keeps it at 5 with us having points on the board.

Of course a win is preferable and puts it in our hands rather than theirs, but if city win every remaining game after Wednesday they probably win it anyway.

Their schedule has been kind to them at the end even with these extra games. This weekend was basically a week rest for their key players between Bayern and us.

Hoping one of West Ham or Fulham will pull something off for us. Playing us and those two in 7 days has to have some impact on city’s level surely.

I still see the Everton away game as a potential banana skin for them.
It’s at that time off season when the relegation threatened teams if they are to survive just fight like mad.

Hope so too as that’s between Madrid games, just need that first leg to be very competitive unlike the Bayern one.

This would ring more true for me if we didn’t throw away the points against West Ham and Southampton

Drawing means its in their hands and also this defence just doesn’t inspire any confidence whatsoever atm

Form turns quickly though. The last minute win at Villa started a run that got us back in pole position.
This could do this and although it puts it in their hands, our end of season goes all the way and finishes with a flourish.

I think a win here is the only thing that will truly push the team to finish the season strong, potentially winning the rest of our matches.

A draw gives them some hope but it’s ultimately up to City who’ll be flying with confidence at the chance we’ve given them to win what looked lost a while ago.

Honestly, this is the attitude we need to go at it at Etihad. We lost the advantage, we’re underdogs now. We’ve got one match to fix that. Have to beat them.

I’m at the pub at 6pm sharp. Reckon I can get 4 pints and 4 doubles in there by kick off comfortably. Might just about have taken the edge off
