Lucas Torreira

Arsenal and his agent should do all they can to find someone to take him but if he is still here come September, we actually have a quality player in hand.

As some suggested, if he lowered his demands considerably, we would have found a solution.
Clearly Torreira wants to have his cake and eat it too.
He showed how fickle he is last summer. Begged all summer to move to Italy only for him to then block moving to Italy because Atleti came calling.
Brat.

Is there any actual evidence that him not moving to another club is because of personal demands? I always thought it was simply teams not being able or willing to meet the transfer fee.

If he lowers his personal demands then clubs can use the money to match the transfer fee.
Wasn’t that what Bellerin and Xhaka were willing to do to help their moves away from the club?

Hopefully a respectable fee too. Knowing Serie A teams it probably won’t be.

Has loan with an option to buy written all over it.
Similar to Guendouzi and Mavro.

We’ll be lucky to get €10m

Three italian teams are interested, likely all of them are broke, I’m just hoping it won’t be a loan.

Probably one of them Sassulo with an offer to pay us in two years time

Yeah. Will probably be a loan with an obligation to buy next summer.
Think he’s a decent player. Just that it didn’t work out for him here.

Pretty funny that Roma has been linked with him.
Xhaka will feel like a mug if that happens.

Will he really? After being given a raise and the captains armband again I doubt it.

Yeh I’m going to call bullshit on that. Dude’s made zero effort to reintroduce himself into the side and it’s absolutely nothing to do with Arteta. Completely on the player and his attitude which has been nothing short of shit.

Reads like that time Ramsey was dieing to sign a contract with us but we left him high and dry.

Yeh fuck off.

Wheatley said he’ll try to get an interview with him after the window closes, which makes me believe he isn’t convinced himself, but he didn’t have a problem reporting it anyway. :man_shrugging:

The sad thing is that I’d gladly have Torreira in the squad ahead of Elneny. It may just work out that he stays because nobody can afford to take him off our hands

Completely agree about everything you say about Torreira, i’m just worried when i see Arteta and plans together in the same sentence
