I don’t care if the goal % from set pieces is high. Set pieces has always been considered an acceptable part of English football since forever. The heck these narratives coming from?

Exactly, what are we supposed to do from a set piece, kick it back to Raya?
Every successful club uses set pieces to their advantage but we get criticised by Slot who won the title with a team that scored more set piece goals than any other team.
Why isn’t this hypocrisy called out by pundits?
Above all else we deserve a good run at set pieces after 20+ years of Wenger short corners.

It’s just amazing how 10 years back many people predicted that Pep’s football wouldn’t work in England and everyone celebrated the more direct aspects of English football, and yet fast forward to where we are now and people are saying Arsenal are too much like Stoke and we need to ”go back to how it used to be.” None of it makes any sense at all, it’s just endless contradictions.
